Husband and I were out on back porch when noticed under the cloud cover a bright fireball like object was rising in the SE then its direction switched from ascending to straight line towards the N. We kept discussing what it looked like when we noticed it hesitated in the flight path almost like a pausing then continued on straight path. No sound. Then it just disapeared...possibly cloud cover could have obstructed our view. We watched it for at least 1 1/2 minutes. We both were amazed by it since we seen it rise/ascend then abruptly change direction to a straight line. If it wasnt for the pausing during its flight path I dont think we would be reporting this as unusual. My husband is ex-military and said no way it was a flare or plane or even a star.
