Purely after the 10:00 oclock news came on the TV, July 2,2011, I went out-of-doors and from my lip exhibition area I looked up and saw four very beautiful red lights in the sky. I went in and got my group and had her grow out and outcome. We went out the support gate while the lights were moving in that direct. They were candidly overhead in a clear stary sky. We watched as they motivated off to the northeast. We looked support and four above were comming. No mumble, no discontinuous or gyratory to the same extent an aircraft beacon. These four motivated off investigation the first four. Hence four above came and followed the others. They were candidly overhead, I would hypothesis at about 500 to 800 feet. We watched them fly vetoed toward the northeast very tediously wntil they all moved out out of sight, most probably 15 to 20 miles vetoed. They were success higher in the sky as they flew vetoed.
Subsequently I went to the gas station to get a news paper and I ask the clerk if he saw the lights, he said yes, we all saw them and wondered what they were. And thats my sensation too. what were they. ALLAGASH ABDUCTEES STILL STAND BY THEIR STORY
By their own account, there may be no good, earthly reason for Jim Weiner and Chuck Foltz to do what they plan to this weekend.
Yet on Sunday evening before a crowd of strangers and old friends, the two longtime buddies will recount in stunning detail their recollection of the night, nearly 40 years ago, when they say they and two others were plucked from a canoe on Eagle Lake in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway and taken aboard an alien spacecraft.
"Number one, we have nothing to gain by this except public ridicule," said Foltz, 63. "Our goal would be to enlighten, inform and put some type of positive direction on this."
At the second annual "Experiencers Speak" conference, which began Friday and ends Sunday at the Clarion Hotel in Portland, Weiner, Foltz and more than a dozen other speakers will tell their stories of close encounters. Weiner and Foltz's will be the final presentation, scheduled for Sunday evening, in a slate of programs meant to provide comfort and understanding for a group of people whose experiences nearly by definition relegate them to the fringe.
That little of what will be said can be independently verified is of little concern to the believers, for their knowledge is firsthand, many say.
"The goal is to help experiencers come to terms with what's happening to them, and get over their fears and get on with their lives," said Audrey Hewins of Oxford, the organizer of the conference and whose regional group, Starborn Support, hosts monthly meetings for a few dozen people to help them cope with their abduction or close-encounter experience.
In the world of ufology -- the oft-marginalized study of unidentified flying objects and the accompanying foreign beings that purportedly interact with people on Earth -- the "Allagash incident" ranks among the most substantiated in the United States.
The case was the subject of a 1993 book, "The Allagash Abductions," by longtime UFO investigator Raymond E. Fowler, which bills itself as "undeniable evidence of alien intervention" into human life. The tome is a relatively straightforward account of how Fowler encountered the four men, interviewed them and had them undergo regression hypnosis -- a form of guided relaxation that purports to allow people to retrieve lost or repressed memories.
Through independent sessions of hypnosis performed years after the 1976 encounter, Weiner, Foltz, Weiner's twin brother, Jack, and a fourth companion, Charles Rak, each recounted slightly different versions of the same, horrifying story of being used as human test subjects by an advanced, celestial race of humanoid figures who took them aboard their craft that night.
When they were asked about the experience during an interview Friday, the voices of Jim Weiner and Foltz did not not waver. Their gaze maintained a steady intensity as they recalled the brilliant orb of light that first hovered over the trees. They described a beam of light emanating from the orb and surrounding them, before they were whisked to parts unknown.
The experience aboard the craft, where they were probed and tested by four-fingered beings with almond-shaped eyes and languid limbs, appeared to have taken about two hours, according to their accounts.
But when the experience occurred, the group of four felt no gap in time. Only later, when a large campfire built to burn for hours had seemingly died down in a matter of minutes, did they realize they had "lost time," a blind spot in their recollections that was only filled in later under deep hypnosis.
The steadfastness of their story has not deterred a legion of doubters, debunkers and verbal assailants, though. They've been called crazy more times than they care to remember.
Jack Weiner, 61, who suffers from multiple sclerosis and cannot easily travel from his Vermont home, said in a telephone interview Friday that his experience in Allagash refocused his career away from the arts and toward hard science and mathematics. He doesn't care whether people believe his story, he said, and dismisses debunkers as close-minded and sometimes ignorant of the breadth of scientific knowledge.
"They weren't there," Jack Weiner said. "I didn't see them there. If they want to stay ignorant, there's nothing I can do to change them. I know differently from my own experience."
Rak, the fourth member of the canoe party, has been out of contact with the group for more than two decades and could not be located for an interview.
But that does not deter Jim Weiner and Foltz, who are both from the Boston area, from pursuing further study and inquiry into what they believe is a global effort by world governments to systematically conceal from the public the truth about the existence of alien life.
The nay-saying crowd, Weiner said, is a product of some restrictive worldview that cannot possibly fathom that aliens exist.
"What we describe threatens them in some way," said Weiner, who works in information technology at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston. Be it social, religious or scientific beliefs, he said, "the only way they can maintain a sense of self is by denial or accusation. It's much easier to say, 'Oh, you're making it up,' or, 'Oh, you're crazy,' or, 'You're a fraud.'"
Joe Cambria, who operates the New England UFO Research Organization and a companion hotline for witnesses to report sightings, said he receives a steady stream of calls, the vast majority -- as high as 90 percent -- from hoaxsters and phonies.
"Then that final 10 percent is what's interesting," he said.
Skepticism is a requirement for any serious UFO inquiry, said Cambria, of Wakefield, Mass. He is even skeptical of the use of the word "abduction."
"People are having (internal) experiences," said Cambria, his voice rising.
"But kidnappings? Something's been going on out there, and it's been going on out there since recorded time. We don't have an answer for it, but we continue to study it."
The conference had a sold-out dinner for 60 Friday night, said Hewins, who expects more than 100 people to attend the sessions over the weekend. - Press Herald

A man in Brazlil developed what doctors have called pathological generosity, after a stroke damaged parts of his brain causing his behaviour to change.
The 49-year-old began to give away money, food and drinks excessively after a stroke disrupted the part of his brain related to higher thinking and decision making.
Researchers at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro concluded the man was left with 'excessive and persistent generosity' by the stroke which was brought on by bleeding in his brain.
Doctors were able to determine the stroke occurred in a subcortical region of Mr A's brain which controls higher level thinking, and therefore could have affected areas associated with regulating normal behavior.
It was caused by bleeding in the brain, a side effect of the man's high blood pressure.
But, experts say knowing where the stroke occurred does not predict changes in behavior or personality, as the complexity of networks means an area not necessarily next to the injury can be affected.
Dr Larry Goldstein, a neurologist and director of the Stroke Centre at Duke University said: 'Although the observation of personality change is not that unusual, this particular one is apparently novel.'
The doctor told the Huffington Post: 'Stroke can cause a whole variety of neuropsychological and behavioral changes', adding that brain damage caused by low oxygen supply can lead to emotional changes with depression being the most common.
Stroke has also been known to cause uncontrollable laughing or crying or neglect syndrome, in which people don't recognize one side of their visual field.
Doctors at the University in Rio de Janeiro found Mr A's case particularly interesting as it represented the opposite attitude to conditions which result from stroke more commonly, such as hoarding and sociopathy.
Studies have indicated in the past that certain brain structures, including the region which registers reward, have been involved in instances of generosity like donating anonymously donating to charity.
The researchers said Mr A's condition could shed light on the relationship between 'altruism and egoism' which are crucial to decision making.
According to his wife, the man spent his money on food and drink for children in the street, and was incapable of resuming his managerial job within a large corporation after the stroke.
When asked by researchers if he wanted to return to work, he reportedly said he had worked enough and that it was time to 'enjoy life which is too short.'
Mr A told doctors he was aware of changes in his behavior and claimed he 'saw death from close up' and wanted to 'be in high spirits' from then onwards.
Other streaks of generous behavior have been linked to people with mania, dementia and Parkinson's disease when treated, but Mr A showed no symptoms of such conditions when psychologically evaluated.
He reported being depressed, forgetful and unable to focus, and showed symptoms usually associated with damage in the frontal lobe of the brain such as lack of persistence or impaired judgement.
A CT scan showed low blood flow in several brain regions, including areas in the frontal lobe.
These regions, although far from the bleed focus, are connected with it by neural pathways, which may have been the interrupted the interplay of neural systems that contribute to personality traits, researchers say.

SASQUATCH 'FOULING' CREEK
My wife and I recently moved to Walla Walla from Denver. As we both enjoy outdoor activities, we are becoming acquainted with the local hiking trails and fishing opportunities.
While skirting the Mill Creek Watershed along the Indian Ridge Trail with the Walla Walla Hiking Club, we learned that the U.S. Forest Service protects this watershed area from contamination of our drinking water by strictly controlling its access. Since our hiking trip, I've gone online to learn more about the Mill Creek and its fish population.
As reported by the U-B on Sept. 11, 2011: "Fish managers believe that upper Mill Creek is very good fish habitat," Tri-State Steelheaders project manager Brian Burns said, adding that for a number of years scientists speculated as to why the upper Mill Creek failed to produce good numbers of spring chinook or summer steelhead. It is believed that passage through lower Mill Creek is the issue, and we never had anything more than opinion and anecdotal information as to why."
As reported in this Sunday's edition of the U-B, the rollout of the study continues on lower Mill Creek. While I am sure the Tri-State Steelheaders' project is well intended, I am skeptical about the effectiveness of the lower Mill Creek fish passage to improve fish habitat.
I am concerned that the initial habitat improvement study missed the underlying cause of lackluster fish populations in the upper Mill Creek.
While researching the Mill Creek Watershed, I learned from a reliable source - "BigFoot Research Organization" - that for years sasquatch have made it a veritable rendezvous location. (Little did my wife and I know that we have moved into a hot bed of bigfoot activity.)
Apparently, these marauders are using the Forest Service's own moratorium as cover for whatever they do when they come together. In any event, it is not difficult to imagine these furtive primates befouling the pristine water of Mill Creek, unabated.
Clearly, this has downstream consequences resulting in the degradation of water quality that support healthy fish populations. It only takes a few bad apples to degrade water quality and obfuscate what would otherwise be sound research conclusions.
The "sasquatch oversight" is no fault of the Forest Service or the Tri-State Steelheaders' research. Resources have been stretched to their limits. Mistakes were made. I'd be willing to do my part and volunteer to patrol the watershed, ticket offenders and help monitor fish populations.

Residents of a small outback Australian town have been left speechless after fish began falling from the sky.
Hundreds of spangled perch bombarded the 650 residents of Lajamanu, shocking local Christine Balmer, who was walking home when the strange 'weather' started.
She said: 'These fish fell in their hundreds and hundreds all over the place. The locals were running around everywhere picking them up.

Lajamanu is located half-way between Darwin and Alice Springs, on the edge of the Tanami Desert.
This is not the first time residents of the small town have experienced fish falling out of the sky.
Resident Les Dillon, 48, said: 'In the early 1980s I was at the Alice Springs Tavern Hotel and, when I walked out the door, I saw all these little fish, fallen out of the sky.

It happened again and again recently that I became aware that I was having an artificially contrived 'dream' shoved in my face for my perusal.
Let's put it this way... there sometimes isn't any option at all but to do this.. attempting to bear in mind that Angels are also by our side too and can also supply us if we get depleted.
Our physical body if its human, needs its downtime, and our Spirits too need to get that feeling that they belong to and are connected with somewhere very beautiful. Certainly I do remember that I go places at night, and perhaps its merciful that I cannot remember the love and the light in these places - though I always remember the one dream I was meant to remember of going through to somewhere very beautiful by a lake in a forest with my friends.
I awoke one morning recently, however, and found myself in a troubling and turbulent dream and then I drifted up a wavelength and found that my guardian Angel was holding my hand singing a countersong to this negative activity.
We were engaged in an intelligent and enriching and life giving conversation at the level of higher mind and spirit whilst the lower levels of life on planet earth were simultaneously besieging and depleting my spirit.
Wherever I go for six or seven hours, the dark stuff cannot follow, then when I show up, back in my human shop window I get stageshows and circus acts designed to demean my self-image and quality of perception.
All in the comfort of my own bedroom.
There are two of several assets I have that make me feel at ease with
the world and all its ills.
But somehow these attributes came under attack in a predatory dream.
The first is my spiritually uplifting and sometimes tasteful use of
color which was able to turn my old parents house full of bad memories
into a place of peace and happiness.
The second was my sense of humor where I was somehow being second guessed in a stage show comedy act where the things I thought should happen next were then represented to me as something even better than I could have done myself. I might point out that the representations of better comedy genius were infeasible and not actually that good.
In the first dream, I am somehow back in my days of living in a
tenement or condo and I have moved into a small place and decorated it
really really garishly. There were very strong wall colors and
hangings and the clothes in the wardrope were terrible.. the
apartment was unbearable in terms of the color clashes... but on an
invite by the zeta infested hive assimilated neighbors downstairs,
their house was relatively tasteful and had more of the usual d'ecor
indicators that people with class usually have despite their position
in life.
Possibly also as I headed back upstairs, what examples of incredible
decorative class and genius lay behind the other doors to my garish
and mentally diseased accommodation.
Dream number two immediately following was also to serve as the
blocker and screen memory as it then clearly got out of hand and very
outrageous such that whilst as I was supposed to be concentrating and
replaying the events that would follow... the events in the first dream
.. a disease with my personal taste would somehow subliminally sink in
and be consciously forgotten.
I'm looking at a stage comedy act involving a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
duo where Mr Hyde under control with a stupid looking set of special
effects was going to perform some stunt.
Engrossed, I forward my criticism to some party about the logistics of
how that routine could be improved. Suddenly the newly improved and
refined version with my suggestions is represented but with additional
things grafted on that belonged to another stage act I had previously
seen on TV and acknowledged as good.
Its as if my own sense of comedy genius was being second guessed and set up to be diminished and dampened and made to look nothing extra in the face of so many other gifted comedy people.
At that point some amputation scene got out of hand as the circus act
went for it and the dream terminated.
This morning for example I am reminded how adept they are at degrading attacks when I am presented in my dream by an image of a menacing but sickly yellow looking big bulky dying weed, then the image of a bleached white haired monkey, followed immediately by a stark vision of a windows computer blue screen crashing....
Being human therefore requires us to face these issues bravely, but also asks us to have faith in our spiritual and Angelic brothers and sisters who are here to protect us if we ask for them.
I had noticed over the course of the years that many reptilian encounters during waking hours result in attempts to remove the quality of my eyesight.
Sometimes these efforts can be almost physically violent in their wrenching distortion of my optical apparatus.
Sometimes its as if I'm looking at an external oblong widescreen TV full of blurry glass coming closer and closer - but my Angels dispel this and my eyesight continues with its quality.
I have taken some time to guess what this game is - but I think it's a secret shared by some people who are physically blind.
There are actually two kinds of vision.
Often in drives through the countryside.. the vivid life filled colours would come back into my imagination at night - it was as if I had also been seeing and absorbing essence and life force from the hills and the trees. I could remember and see these hills and everything growing on them with amazing detail and clarity.. more than any optical lens and retina could have picked up.
This was true seeing.
If I am being made to think that I can be deprived of my sight.. then I could also be deprived of my vision of eternity.
Recent pre-waking dreams presented by Greys have centered around car headlights shining into my eyes, or some light coming through a circular but hazy lens, and recently, some dim grey multifaceted glass like jewel.
They were Greys as far as I could determine because Reptilians are too proud to present themselves as five foot weeds or five foot alsation dogs.
All of these dream images are attempts to control my recognition of the frequencies of light.
If I can be diverted away from a recognition of light.. how therefore could I accurately ascend ?
What they try to do is of no consequence to me for I know that I am safe no matter what they do.
Other folks though might get traumatised and conned out of their life by this stuff.
Its time more folks realised just how protected they are - because no-one that is aware enough to recognise these issues is doing so unattended by Angelic help, or you would just forget about them instantly.

Our hearts steering by our need to love might well be despondent about technology if we come from Earth - but our souls probably have a rich and vast history of loving technological environments from our extensive cosmic journeys.
We have to become aware of what should be possible for us.
I can see from satellite photos of where I used to stay and was having big time alien problems - that streaks of light were flying in and out of houses in that area.
There is a vast body of literature from Carlos Castaneda to Chinese mythology that speaks of learning to fly, and going through rigorous exercises and a half ton of substances etc in order to achieve something.

During the Starship Congress last week in Dallas, Texas, discussions focused on the myriad of topics associated with humans pushing into space and, ultimately, becoming an interstellar civilization. It quickly became apparent that if you think on a large enough scale, over a vast enough time frame, pushing humanity deeper into the galaxy is not a sci-fi notion, it's an evolutionary imperative.
But let us assume for a minute that we will overcome the huge technological challenges of propelling starships to neighboring star systems and begin a new age of galactic colonization. Let us also assume that the profound question "Are we alone?" will be answered. We will have clawed our way to the stars to find that life is simply a chemical complication and, given the correct conditions, biology is possible anywhere.
As we come face-to-face with our extraterrestrial neighbors, what would - indeed, what should - we do?
Ethical Concerns
In a fascinating panel discussion on Friday (Aug. 16) at the Starship Congress, representatives from interstellar organizations weighed in on the ethical implications of making "first contact" with aliens - whether aliens are considered "intelligent" (or at least appear to be sentient) or whether they are in the dawn of their evolution as single-celled microorganisms.
The construction of some kind of ethical framework would be necessary and comparisons were made with Star Trek's "Prime Directive" that is used in the fictional universe to prevent cultural interference between the advanced Federation and other burgeoning alien civilizations. How much would such a framework borrow from science fiction? Would it even be needed?
Les Johnson, chair of the Tennessee Valley Interstellar Workshop and deputy manager for NASA's Advanced Concepts Office at the George C. Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, outlined some logical criteria for our interstellar descendents to refer to should they stumble upon any extraterrestrial life.
The first criteria should be "learn all you can learn before risking anything," he said. The second should be "if it seems to be Alive leave it Alone!" And the third: "avoid bringing samples to the homeworld because I don't want to bet on it being 100 percent incompatible with our ecosystem."
The third criteria was countered by Jim Benford, president of Microwave Sciences Inc. and co-author of "Starship Century," arguing that perhaps we shouldn't expend too much concern for some alien microbe "infecting" us or harming our biology in some way. Instead, Benford argued, in the event of encountering an alien world, it is inevitable that we would want to set up a manned outpost to carry out scientific investigations. Should we interact with extraterrestrial biology, we will be so unalike (biologically speaking) that it is highly improbable that we will be negatively impacted.
Drawing examples from terrestrial nature, Johnson pointed out that invasive species introduced to vulnerable regions have caused untold damage. Lacking predators or environmental limitations, could a newly-introduced alien species to our environment take over and threaten our survival? Other panelists pointed out that it might not be such a great idea to bring extraterrestrial biology back to Earth, just in case.
Open to Interpretation
Kelvin Long, co-founder of the UK-based Institute for Interstellar Studies, supported the need for interstellar guidelines in regard to extraterrestrial contact, but also pointed out that these moral guidelines will likely be interpreted in different ways by different individuals throughout a hypothetical sprawling interstellar civilization. However, by that stage in our evolution, Earth-analog planets would likely be less important to our survival - we would have become more space dwellers than planet-dwellers. Life-giving planets would therefore be more of scientific interest than somewhere for us to simply colonize.
"It is neither a case of moral respect or survival of the fittest but of the fact that we will have evolved as a society which does not need to compete (with indigenous lifeforms)," said Long.
Marc Millis, founder of the Tau Zero Foundation, was realistic about human nature in space. Despite obviously evolving into a grand interstellar race capable of communicating with other forms of life, he also agreed that any ethical guideline will be interpreted in different ways and it will be highly likely that mistakes will happen along the way. "There will certainly be some bad events happen and they will probably be unavoidable," he said.
Richard Obousy, president and co-founder of Icarus Interstellar, was blunt with his assessment of humanity's future in interstellar space, saying, "I'm pro-human being."
Obousy agreed that we should propagate into the galaxy with solid ethical principals "and we should treat other things that we discover with compassion," but ultimately he wants what's best for humans; using a planet's resources shouldn't be stifled merely by the presence of basic lifeforms. However, should the alien life be in some way sentient, greater care should be taken and contact with the species should be considered only if absolutely necessary.
As for colonizing those worlds containing basic lifeforms, it is less likely that we'd want to hang around very long. "We live in the depths of a gravitational abyss," said Obousy. Assuming our interstellar descendents has access to huge quantities of energy and resources, "I'm not convinced that we'll want to go from one gravitational abyss to another gravitational abyss. I'm not convinced that settling on planets or even moons is going to be necessary."
To 'Colonize' or Not to 'Colonize'?
Interestingly, financial economist and "Alpha Centauri Award" winner Armen Papazian, countered that our politics and history have skewed our concept of colonization and exploration.
"There's a linguistic issue here and a historic issue," said Papazian. "Much of what we understand in our psyche when we say 'colonization' in the context of a political map has been so charged with specific historic events that 'colonization' means a lot of different things around the planet."
Ultimately, Papazian argued, we need to understand what we are exploring the galaxy for, and if we approach it with an enlightened attitude, we should be able to explore for the right reasons. "Are we going to embrace or are we going to utilize? Are we trying to export our scarcity economics? Or are we trying to enjoy an abundant cosmos?" he asked.
ANALYSIS: Starship Congress: A Very Human Interstellar Journey
Finally, Joe Ritter, optics engineer at the University of Hawaii, approached the question from personal experience. As a resident on Maui, invasive species have caused many issues for the small island, and what is sacred to the islanders wouldn't necessarily be understood by outsiders. He therefore doubted that humans will have the ability to not interfere with alien life (and their environment) regardless of whether they are sentient or not.
"In my opinion, if we're enlightened, we'll leave it alone... Will humans do that? Probably not," concluded Ritter.
The question as to whether we'll meet intelligent extraterrestrial life forms at all was the topic of much debate throughout the Starship Congress. After all, the sheer luck of bumping into a civilization at the similar stage of development as ourselves will be vanishingly small. Perhaps when we make first contact, we won't even be aware - the alien life we encounter may have technologies that we don't even recognize as technology. Or we may sail the vast expanses between the stars never to meet anything even vaguely sentient. But in a universe of seemingly boundless opportunity, it seems unlikely that, as we truly become interstellar, we'll never encounter another example of biology anywhere in the galaxy. But for now, that's pure conjecture; the only evidence for life is here on Earth.
Regardless, it would be nice to see if there are any living beings out there. Perhaps we should build a starship to find out.

She could not estimate how thick it was. I asked her if the object could be the size of a jumbo jet and she say "maybe, but I don't know because it's too far and I can't judge how high up it is" There was no noise detected from the object, but we assumed it was because of the distance from the object. She said she had been watching the object for about 3 minutes now and it had not appeared to be moving or changing directions, just hovering over that location. I suggested that maybe the object was moving away from her to it appeared to be floating, but she insisted the object was not moving while she was observing it. I asked her if there were any windows, lights or markings on the object and she said she could not see any markings or windows, but that the object was reflecting the sun so it was hard to tell. She could tell there were no lights blinking or flashing near or on the object (like you see on all regular planes). I asked her to take a picture with her iphone and email it to me, but no matter how much she zoomed in or out the object would not show up on the iphone's camera. I asked her to take the picture anyway and send it to me. We both think that the brightness of the sunrise was preventing the object from showing up in the picture. I have attached the image, but I cannot see the object in the photo at all, the sun was too bright. My wife had to go into work, when she left to go inside she said the object was still floating in the air. I asked my wife to draw the shape of the object and send me a picture. The second attached picture is a rough sketch of the object on a white board. My office is a few miles from La Porte's City Hall. I stepped out of my office shortly after the phone call, at about 7:40 am, and looked in the direction my wife had described. I could not locate the object. I then looked toward the general direction of where she works, also a few miles away, and could not see the object. I am reporting this hoping someone else closer to the object has more details. The only other details I have to add is that we have grown up living in this area and are aware of the airports in the area and the usual aircraft that fly in and out of them. When the couple agreed to hypnotic sessions, between 1974 and 1975 - with one of the tapes lost by Mr.Clark (or taken he hints) - they told of events that parallel the Hills' case.
The man in the encounter saw, as had Barney Hill, a being in the UFO when he first spotted it.
The couple experience a tingling feeling as they were being transported aboard the craft where they found themselves in a round, domed, clear room - white with gauges.
The beings in the room with them had large heads, no hair, and looked like insects, with big, green colored eyes, and green colored mouths. They were "working dials."
Their eyes partly circled their heads (like those in Barney Hill's drawing of the beings he and Betty were taken by), and gave a grasshopper appearance.
No communication except for a low humming sound and a kind of telepathy.
The beings wore a kind of uniform, white in color.
And the thing they saw at the camper - the white snowman - appeared, and it was then realized that the couple's abduction took place when they saw that figure at the camper and the period from that sighting to their escape by driving away produced a period of lost time, during which they had their abduction encounter.
The story is rather interesting in a number of ways, but one little thing stands out; the couple was not married but the woman's ex-husband had introduced her to the man she was now aligned with.
Betty and Barney Hill were a mixed race couple, as you know.
Do "abductions" come to those persons who have a singularly out-of-the-norm relationship or some other psycho-social quirk?
Maybe alleged abductees can tell us what their quirk is, if any. This may be the clue to the abduction phenomenon which, for all intents and purposes, seems to be a strange event, but one that cannot be explained in ordinary, prosaic terms, or understood by those terms, or any others for that matter.

When UFO video's like this come to surface, the first place it goes is to a place like Sirius UFO Space and Research center. It's their job to debunk UFO hoaxes. After a ten day study, they came to the conclusion that this video is the real thing. No camera tricks or any kind of video manipulation what so ever, it's just a regular guy and his camera. There was a formal announcement was made on January 17, 2009 where most of the world was informed, except for the United States of-course. On a side note, out of every major UFO sighting that's happened in the world, we are the only major country that withholds the information from it's people. Anyway this video has been scrutinized and ridiculed as a hoax and that it's all computer animation. Further investigations by TUBITAK who is a board of Professors that are in the study of science and technology research, reveled in their official report: "The objects sighted in the aforementioned footage have a structure that is made of specific material are definitely not made up by any kind of computer animation nor are they any form of special effects used for simulation in a studio or for a video effect therefore in conclusion it was decided that the sightings were neither a mock up or hoax." It also concluded the objects do not belong to any other known structures such as man operated flying machines, planets, comets, meteors, and with no hesitation fall into the Unidentified Flying Objects category. Open your mind and let your thoughts be open to REAL truth. "IN GOD WE TRUST" is instilled in your mind if you live in the states. It's on our money, in our pledge, we are "one nation under god". We are so willing to believe as an American society in a "God" who we will never see or hear, so much so that we our willing to live by his rules, and for some, their life is lived through god and he is the only one making the decisions for them. But yet, something that is right in front of our face's, see by millions from all over the world, in pictures and videos that keep popping up all the time, is written off by these same believers in god, as fiction. Why? Because belief is the most powerful driving force in ones life, and what you believe is what becomes real. Remember, it's ALL in YOUR head and nobody ells es. For me, what I can see, hear, smell, taste and touch is real, at least on this planet, while I'm awake anyway. To me, that's a good test if something is real or not. Our courts and judicial systems are also all base on evidence, not just by the words of somebody, but real tangible evidence. Don't you think this is how we should live our lives, and base our beliefs, knowing what's real and what's not, based on facts. I suppose if your able to live in different dimensions, or on different planet these rules of what's real may not apply. I mean, it's fun to dream and have a story to tell your kid's when their fish dies, but it's 2009 and with all the evidence that's out there, it's time to change what we believe as a society. Either way it's all bassakwards and it's called brainwashing. They are trying to erase the mind that which is rightfully yours, and condition it in order to have brain's natural response to this UFO phenomenon be "This is nothing more then science-fiction" Think about it, and ask yourself "what do I really believe?" I exited my vehicle and observed the ocher light walk overhead at about 1000 feet this light did not miniature and traveled at a fully clad speed amid no sound it was a clear desolate night i may well see other planes overhead amid their lights sporadic i was 45 minutes west of louisville, KY and plane travel is habitual in my area. I observed this object for about 2 minutes i lost sight of it as it went west.

Well, who doesn't like mermaids? Even Disney recognizes that the concept is charming and attractive, and in folklore those two words have their own darker meanings. I like all the Mer-people, Aquafolk, Naiads et al, and will heartily sympathize with good encounter tales of such beings. I'm not sure that the one which follows meets that criterion. While trudging through some SITU files, here was an envelope containing the pamphlet above. Needing a break, I read some of it, happy to get in a bit of goofing off time. I was expecting Lake Monster stuff, of course, and it was there. But stuck in amongst the rest was a Mermaid tale.The story is scanned on the left. I believe that you'll be able to read it yourself, but I'll summarize. The story comes from Moratai Island [Pacific Ocean]. No date but it must have been about 1943-1944. The story came to the pamphlet author from the man who witnessed it with his wife, and he was told it apparently while visiting their hotel in British Columbia many years later. The pamphlet writer buys the story completely, as he judges them to be "responsible", and that "this is an exact account."After establishing these bona fides, the pamphlet writer prints a witness statement about the event, which the witness must have written right there for his use. It seems to be a verbatim re-printing in the first person. The drawing which accompanies this page is, I believe, not something which was done in the presence of the witnesses but is a "logical" artistic rendering of the main features described in the text. I agree with the "logic" while knowing that an at-a-distance artistic rendering without witness feedback almost never comes close to the actual event's characteristics. So, Caveat Emptor. Regarding the event itself: the witness was attracted to a commotion among the "natives" who had netted a creature. Upon approaching the scene, the witness saw that what they had in their net was no "fish" but something with human characteristics. The witness asked what it was and was informed that they had, once again, caught a mermaid. [who knows what actual terminology was used, as the "broken-english-using" locals would seem unlikely to be using the term "mermaid"
this begins to concern me a bit]. He was told that they wouldn't kill it but that it would die on its own. Which, "weeping", it did over the space of a half an hour. Returning with others after the death, the witness inspected the thing and described it as having a perfectly fish-like lower body, complete with scales and ending in a "dolphin" tail. "From the navel up" however, the thing "looked as human as any person you'd meet on the street". The mermaid was, however, not a beauty, but had coarse facial features, despite beautiful hair and and striking reddish-pink complexion. At this point the witness' wife confirmed that seeing mermaids was not uncommon, as she had done so herself previously. Mer-people were described as traveling in small schools and mainly avoided humans assiduously. The witness then averred that he himself had seen mermaids on three different occasions. He also stated that the natives of some islands will eat them and compared it with the attitude of cannibals. As an odd detail, he described the mer-people hands as having six fingers of which two were grasping thumbs [apparently on each side of the four-fingered mitt]. Allegedly, like pinnipeds, they struggle up on the beaches at night and flop about to get back to the water. The witness ended with: "I have other almost UNBELIEVABLE tales"..... hmmmmm.So, what's going on here? The first thing which comes to my mind is a hoax tale by the reporting witness. There are certainly plenty of precedents for hoaxing mermaid/mermen stories from this part of the world [the infamous Fee-Jee mer-monsters {cobbled-together monstrosities out of various species' parts} inhabit several museums]. Why not just accept that and go on with our lives? Probably I should. My hesitation about doing so is that this pamphlet writing guy got a personal written statement from this fellow AND his wife backed him up on the details. Was this a double-team hoax on the writer? I haven't seen many UFO cases for instance where the investigator could get a detailed corroboration from the wife on a flat lie by the husband. But....?What about the locals hoaxing the western witnesses? Well, they are happy to do that of course as any field anthropologist knows. But this one has far too many elaborations in it to have the locals make up a phony dying mermaid on the beach. What about a mis-identification? Our witness just didn't know what he was looking at? I'm willing to go the mis-identification route on many sorts of encounters, but not this one. Any human male who cannot not go right up to a biological creature and tell the difference between a fish, a dolphin, or even an attractively smiling pinniped, and a girl, has transported my analytical systems into a universe where nothing makes any conceivable sense. Even if our Mermaid wasn't the stuff that dreams are made of [to quote Humphrey Bogart], it will be a myopic person indeed to mistake her for a sea lion. But what about mental goofiness beyond just flawed sense perceptors? Can our witness have had a strange mental breakdown? Was what he really experienced a dream? Did the old Serotonin/Dopamine system suddenly go whacko on him for an hour or so?So, why then is his wife supporting all the details of this mental episode as if it really happened? I just can't go there either.Or maybe something about the environment made several people goes temporarily nuts at the same time and in the same way. That's the Michael Persinger hypothesis to attempt to discard all such anomalistic encounters.... and it is one of the most inadequate concepts it has ever been my "pleasure" to have been forced to read. If not the "mysterious mind-bending environment of the sea", then what? Well, some, of course would like the creature to be real. I don't think so, either.If the creature is to be real, it is either biological [in a Sandersonian sense of a part of this physical world and its ecology
i.e. it is a "thing"], or it is some other type of entity. A biological form it is not. To be so, it would have to have been part of the evolutionary system.The evolution of the whales would give us a case study of such a thing. It took many hundreds of thousands, even millions, of years for the primitive whale-ish mammals to go back into the water from their land-lubber ways and slowly drop their excess baggage and firm up their swimmability characteristics. Any modernized human form "deciding" to re-enter the water and do likewise hasn't had the time to accomplish such a transition. Plus, the format allegedly attained by mer-people looks wrong. The sharp differentiation of the "top" from the "bottom" in either swim-worthiness or texture makes no sense. Evolution is a gains vs losses game. One does not retain anything which costs you more than you get from it in return. If you're going into the water, well, then, SWIM. If you're going onto the land, then stand. If you can't make up your survivalist mind, and you give up on standing, then you'd better be close to the surface all the time [and be seen by everybody if you're a penguin or a sea elephant]. If you're biological, you can't have it all ways: everything about you is constrained by reproduction and survival. Mer-people aren't biological, and Ivan didn't think so either.So, what are they? Are they the beautiful sirens of our folklore? Or even the not-so-beautiful darkside sea denizens, the Sea Hags? I don't think that this is what we had here either. Although like any right-thinking male, I'd like all my mermaids to be pretty, I'm not opposed to the occasional Sea Hag interrupting my aesthetic environs. Or alternatively, that my now-you-see-me-now-you-don't "mermaid"/ kelpie be a shape-shifter, like our original Mhorag appears to be [I don't want to put the "Great She" in the past tense]. But our currently-discussed "mermaid" isn't any of these either. All of our folkloric entities, real as they may be [and you folks know that I'm sympathetic to that], are not products of biology, evolution, the physical universe. They are, rather, paranormal entities operating with a different set of rules. They may exert force on our environment and communicate with us in some fashion. They will not die on our beaches and decay. Nor will Mhorag. Nor, in my opinion, will Nessie. My mind is still open about Caddy and sea serpents in general. But...even there, the carcasses never impress.My own crude rendition of this "mermaid tale" expresses my lack of understanding [entirely
sort of clueless even] about what this case turns about. I don't have any right to "conclude" anything on this one
even "softly". It doesn't seem physically nor paranormally real. It doesn't seem hallucinatory. It doesn't seem a mis-identification. It doesn't seem a hoax by the locals. If a hoax by the transcribing witness, why the corroboration by the wife? And other mermaid stories to boot? Or was the entire thing made up from nothing by the pamphlet writer? That, of course would neatly restore sanity and allow peaceful dismissal
but I have no evidence for that, and feel CSICOPian simply going there. In the end, this whole episode is a lot about our dilemmas as researchers in the anomalistic realms. We do the best we can to collect the reports and try to find what little we can. We never get there. That is why they are still anomalies.
