The investigation of UFOs must involve the elimination of conventional explanations, which could easily include any of these aforementioned items. One of the most recent items added to the debunking catalogue is Chinese lanterns, which are mostly collapsible paper lanterns, lit with a candle in the center, that are released during celebrations, such as weddings. These lanterns tend to glow white/orange, travel with the wind, and can be seen for quite a distance.
There have been many sightings lately that could possibly be explained by such lanterns, but hardly all of them should be dismissed away with this as the cause. Locally, in Bucks County Pennsylvania, several news agencies picked up on a large influx of UFO sightings. The next day, some visited a local shop that sold Chinese lanterns and claimed that these had to be the cause of the sightings. Dismissing the sheer number of different sizes and shapes, including saucers, boomerangs and egg shaped craft. Ironically, the lanterns that they lit barely made it off the ground, just like their explanation for these sightings.
The bottom line is yes, Chinese lanterns could be the cause of some UFO sightings. They're an unfamiliar aerial phenomenon, that when seen from a distance, multiple lights can appear to be one large solid craft. The same investigative approach needs to be taken when approach every sighting. All conventional explanations need to be ruled out first, before claiming anything is extraordinary. It's truly unfortunate that the news and media automatically accept this as the cause without doing any true investigative work of their own.
You decide, swamp gas, Chinese lanterns, or simply a convenient alternative to reality, an extraterrestrial spacecraft.

A friend and I decided to walk from my apartment to Woodward ave to watch fireworks. Halfway to the st. We noticed one then two constant lights in the sky moving in tandem upwards and away at a regular rate of speed. We stopped and observed and discussed what the objects were, and could not make a solid conclusion. We continued in discussion of the objects to the end of the st. Watching surface to air fireworks. Ten minutes approximately, we noticed a red light moving in the opposite direction followed by on other as e had seen earlier. Instead they were moving north east to south east same trajectory speed but with a red hue. We both agreed it wasn't anything we had seen before. And continued to discuss our own past sightings.

It's lunch time and I'm going to the bank to cash my check as I get out of the car I began to smoke a cigarette it was a very nice day some small clouds... I was looking at and airplane traveling west when I notice 2 more planes parallel traveling north... then I notice what it look like a star. I'm wondering why I could see a star in the afternoon? As I stared at this object it began to move and it stopped again and it moved again this time it moved into a cloud to its right ( my left ) as it entered the cloud I could tell than it was glowing very bright as it enter the clouds thick part I was not able to see it, I wanted to stay there and wait but being lunch time I had limited time to get back to work.

A document on "Extraterrestrial Communications" by Dr. Howard H. Campaigne describes NSA efforts to interpret and mathematically decode the message. It states, "Recently a series of radio messages was heard coming from outer space. The transmission was not continuous but was cut by pauses into pieces which could be taken as units, for they were repeated over and over again."
The report includes the NSA transcription of the message, using letters of the alphabet as designated place holders for the different variations in the message. "Each message except the first is given here only once," it states. "The serial number of the message has been supplied for each reference."
A related document details NSA efforts to decipher the meaning of the extraterrestrial communications, stating "At every step of the solution we make a guess at the meaning."
Both reports are included in a a recently declassified NSA collection of more than 50,000 pages of documents detailing cryptology, early computer development, intelligence documents, and numerous other topics in archives ranging from before World War 1 to the 1960s on June 8th.
Among them are several dozen documents on UFOs, "located in response to the numerous requests received by NSA on the subject of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO)." The NSA websites states the documents are related to the 1980 civil litigation, "Citizens Against Unidentified Flying Objects Secrecy v. National Security Agency."
Other documents include old press articles covering UFO sightings, reports, or fantastical stories of imminent alien invasion that were examined and kept in possession of the NSA. Many sightings describe the UFOs as "probably a balloon," but are heavily censored with large blacked out segments.
They include sightings by Communications Intelligence and COMNAVSECGRU, Naval Security Group Command, as well as UFO sighting reports by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Department of State, and the Navy.Among them is an Air Force research report regarding the "Roswell Incident," a Defense Documentation Center bibliography of UFO reports, and other documents on UFO-related research.Source: Epoch Times.....

THE NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY RELEASES OVER 50,000 PAGES OF DECLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS
The National Security Agency (NSA) announces today that it has declassified and released to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) over 50,000 pages of historic records. These records cover a time-frame from before World War I through the 1960s.This release of documents is the first in a series of releases planned over the next two years as part of NSA/CSS's commitment to meeting the requirements outlined in the President's 21 January 2009 Memorandum on Openness and Transparency in Government (Executive Order 13526).Highlights of this release include:
* Manuals, charts, and other documents on the development of early computer systems at NSA/CSS, including the HARVEST. This innovative system was developed with IBM and was in use from 1962 to 1976;
* Early publications on cryptography, including "Cryptology: Instruction Book on the Art of Secret Writing" from 1809;
* Documents from World War II, including previously unreleased German documents from the Target Intelligence Committee (TICOM).

Bolden's remarks came in response to Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison. The Texas Senator sparred with Bolden over the administration's proposal to decrease funding for a rocket development program that she has championed at a congressional hearing, acoording to the "DALLAS MORNING NEWS".
Bolden made his assertion in response to complaints from the committee's ranking Republican, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas, that President Barack Obama's 17.71 billion NASA budget proposal draws funds away from SLS and Orion to pay for a steep increase for the agency's Commercial Crew Program.
NASA is seeking nearly 3 billion for SLS and Orion for 2013. But with about 10 percent of that money budgeted for related ground and support infrastructure, funding for actual vehicle development would be about 325 million less than Congress provided for 2012.
At the same time, NASA is seeking to raise the Commercial Crew Program's budget to 830 MILLION FOR 2013, which is significantly above the 500 million Congress authorized for the program and more than double the program's current budget, according to "SPACE NEWS". NASA is trying to outsource flights to low-Earth orbit and the International Space Station to the private space sector.

A couple of weeks ago I had seen a bright planet looking light over the houses across the street that slowly moved away and light dimmed leaving only an outline of a transparent round object. This was the first UFO sighting that was completely different than all others. Since then I've been out gazing at the sky at all hours of night looking for moving or unusual objects. I normally see several satellites moving across the sky, which look like small stars moving at constant speeds. Monday morning at 5:15am I was looking and I had been checking out satellite positions on the NASA Satellite Web site. I was looking straight up when I noticed what first appeared to be a Satellite moving from NW to SE. As it passed what appeared to be a far away star the little light started following the bigger light at a slower speed. In addition to seeing the light it appeared to have an outline of an cigar shaped body that was mostly transparent except from the reflection from the bright Moon. The cigar shape was towing the light behind it. It could only be seen briefly as it moved away from the light. Ten minutes later I saw another solid bright light moving East to West at a similar speed as the first object. I was able to get a better idea of the height of this object as a fighter jet flying at high altitude with red lites flashing flew overhead. Both the plane and the object appeared to be at similar heights over 40,000 ft. I had another high altitude jet fly by at the same height a few minutes later. Both jets were flying in normal flight patterns of traffic at high altitudes maybe upwards 40,000 ft. Higher than normal. I was able to see a slight reflection of the object where it wasn't lit up, that's how I new it was close to the height of the planes because I could see the unlighted bottom of the planes also. I went back in to check the NASA site and there were no Satellites flying over Texas at anywhere near that time. So that would make them unidentified. This sighting wasn't nearly as dramatic as the one two weeks ago but very interesting. I have no doubt the past sighting was from something out of this world. The memory is burned into my mind.

My wife and myself have had various events through our our life. We are use to it. Lately the events are happening about once a week. The last event of Oct 13, 2013. I saw a grey Alien outside of my bedroom window. He was staring at me and for some reason I got the impression that he wanted me to see him to make sure I saw him and knew what he was. He then turned and took a lobbing step. (a step that was kind of like a hop (up and down). I also get the impression that I have seen this Alien before. Like I said my wife and myself have had numerous experiences. I was hoping someone could call me to discuss this.

In the 1990s, NASA's Galileo spacecraft flew by Europa a dozen times, snapping pictures of the vibrant surface. But it wasn't the surface that intrigued scientists like Vance - it was the compelling evidence Galileo found for a vast and deep liquid ocean underneath the surface. "What makes Europa exceptional is that it has had a global ocean probably for the last 4 billion years," Vance said. "And that ocean could be under just a few kilometers of ice."
Europa's ocean could be as much as two to three times larger than all of Earth's oceans combined and reach up to 62 miles deep - 10 times deeper than the deepest oceanic regions on Earth. A real water world!
But these earth-shattering measurements are only estimates based from the limited information scientists have for Europa. Galileo was the only spacecraft to fly by the icy moon more than once and was not equipped with the right instruments to study Europa in detail.If all goes well, that could change in the near future: Earlier this week, NASA administrator Charles Bolden announced that the space agency will be selecting projects to accompany a probe to Europa in the not-too-distant future.

The key reason why life is more likely to exist on Europa than most other places in the solar system is because of the tidal energy that Jupiter's powerful gravitational pull exerts on the tiny moon. This tidal energy is what keeps the salty water on Europa a liquid and is why Christopher McKay, a senior scientist at the Space Science and Astrobiology Division at NASA Ames Research Center, ranks Europa as one of the top places to find alien life in our solar system.
During a live webcast hosted by The Kavli Foundation in January, McKay said the three most likely places to find ET are: Saturn's moon Enceladus, Mars, and Europa. The key feature all of these places have in common is evidence for present or past liquid water.
"Nothing grows or reproduces when the water activity falls below some pretty high value, actually," McKay said during the webcast. "Microorganisms need surprisingly wet conditions."
Equally important is the interaction between Europa's underground ocean and icy surface.
In 2013, the Hubble Space Telescope saw water vapor above the moon's south pole, which scientists suspect came from an erupting plume beneath the icy crust.
If water can escape the ocean, then it's likely that gases like carbon and oxygen can enter it. Carbon and oxygen are key elements for life in Earth's oceans, so why not in Europa's as well?
"When I think about the fluxes of oxygen to Europa's ocean, I wonder if Europa could have the kinds of vigorous biosphere that Earth has that supports larger forms of life," Vance told Business Insider. "And then the imagination can go wild thinking about fish and octopi and whatever else might live in an ocean that's 100 kilometers deep."Looking to Earth for answers The best place astrobiologists can look to for ideas of what kinds of life might be lurking underneath Europa's icy shell is right here on Earth - deep under the oceans.

These conditions are akin to what Europa's oceans might be like, and although it's hard to imagine that anything could survive under these conditions, scientists continue to be pleasantly surprised by what they find. Last November, a team of scientists from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory studied one of the world's deepest undersea hydrothermal vents, which are produced by underwater volcanoes. Sea water seeps through cracks in the ocean floor, is reheated by the volcanic magma, and then released through the vents, heating the surrounding water to temperatures up to 700 degrees Fahrenheit.At the undersea vents off the coast of Grand Cayman island, the scientists discovered hundreds of shrimp piled on top of one another and crawling all over the vent that were thriving.
On Earth, hydrothermal vents are common where tectonic plates are moving apart. Moreover, the scorching waters around the vents are thought, by some, to be where life first originated on Earth billions of years ago.And as if there wasn't enough evidence supporting the potential for life on Europa already, another encouraging feature is that it's the only other celestial body in the solar system, besides Earth, with plate tectonics.
"Whether an animal like this could exist on Europa heavily depends on the actual amount of energy that's released there, through hydrothermal vents," Emma Versteegh, a postdoctoral fellow at JPL, said in a NASA statement.Missions for the future

Juno will not study Europa directly, but it will give scientists important information about how much tidal energy Jupiter exerts on Europa and, therefore, a better idea for how active its undersea hydrothermal vents may be. "We're really excited about [Juno] because it will give us some sense of how Jupiter's tides affect Europa," Vance said. I had done this with the idea I was showing "The Black Boa" but I cannot be certain that the sightings I am using for scale did not belong to the more usual Sucuriju Gigante. In particular I wanted to illustrate how big and heavy the head is if it is as large as the reports say, and also the vey large size of the eye as reported ("The size of plates" or larger). If the snakes really are this big then about the only prey animals large enough to sustain them would have to be caimans
I also did a composite showing a basilisk lizard running in comparison to a repoted "Chupacabras" from a company that prints it as a logo onto t-shirts and such.This type of "Chupa" reports extend from Texas and the SW USA through Mexico and Central America, Colombia and Venezuela to Brazil, and to Northern Argentina and Chile. They not only correspond to descriptions given iin Conquistadore days and traditionally, they are similar to depictions made in Pre-Columbian Art where even some of the given names sound similar to "Chupacabras" : and Chupacabras (goat-sucker) is also the name given to certain large lizards (and snakes) in the belief that they drink the goat's milk. This legend is also verifiably traditional in Mexico and most of the rest of Latin America.

Both Mono Grande and Mono Rey appear to be variations on recognisable types of ASIATIC apes.Colours are very diverse but smaller ones tend to be dark or black and larger ones more reddish brown. I suspect that the standard "Yeti" sizes are much like the Mono Rey.

DALE DRINNON: LOOKING AT THE CHUPACABRA (PART ONE)
Knowing of our involvement with things apertaining to the Puerto Rican goatsuckers, Dale sent us several of his musings on the nature of the chupacabra, which we read with great interest. We have condensed them into a two-part article.
Early on in the Frontiers of Zoology group I had posted a link to a site that said that chupacabras depradations were being caused by giant vampire bats. All well and good; Shuker had mentioned reports of these giant vampire bats, and the website specified that they ranged from a wingspan of a foot to a few feet, walked on all fours on the ground and the largest ones were the size of a small dog on the ground. This is generally comparable with reports and traditions elsewhere in Latin America.
But there is a complication; there are different types of giant bats in the New World being reported and their characteristics are quite different.
While I was working for the Anthropology department at IUPUI I came across some photographs of some stone statues from Colombia, illustrating something that reminded me strikingly of Ivan Sanderson's Ahool drawing from Investigating the Unexplained. These reference photos were on file at the department and the captions stated that such 'Bat-effigies' were found occasionally from the American southwest to northern Argentina. Later I realised that these same figures were well known in Mesoamerica and related to the Mayan Kamazotz (Camazotz): in some of the UFO books, Kamazotz stories are ascribed to the Ikhals. They were said to stand on their hind legs as tall as a small child (2-3 feet or so) but were still regular bats, and ordinarily fish-eaters. And they are still being reported as chupacabras in some regions (notable examples from the southwest and illustrated on Cryptomundo, but known in 'Big Bird' lore from Texas in the mid-1970s, as bat-winged and monkey-faced, differing from the usual 'Big Bird' reports)
Moreover, the typical vampires of South American lore are chonchons, said to be a human head flying on ears transformed into batwings a fathom wide. Eberhart's Mysterious Creatures has entries on all of these giant bats, and the usual explanation given is they are "all" giant vampre bats.

It is not that simple: you have a small, medium-sized and a very large giant bat species emerging from these reports, and the medium-sized one is on a scale comparable to an Old-World flying fox (fruit-eating mega-bat) The largest is pretty much exactly comparable to an Ahool. The "smallest "reported unknown bat would be the giant vampire bat, the medium-sized one would be a giant "false" vampire bat, the chonchon. It is the size of a flying fox and the body of a flying fox is about the apparant size of a human's head.
So the smallest one is the bat with a wingspan of a foot or two, but it is the blood-drinker. The others are innocent but get the blame; however, false vampire bats are still predatory and one that size might give a human a bad mauling if it was very frightened or rabid. And while the biggest one gets blamed for such things as haunting graveyards and kidnapping children, it would much rather keep to itself. The big one is at least comparable in size to a big owl or a big eagle, unless stories are very much exaggerated

In my Fathers backyard watching for meteor showers I noticed a red light emerging from behind the treeline along the fence to the North side of the yard, at first I thought it was just a regular plane but then it got to be more above us but still the distance of a regular plane would be but you could easily tell it was spherical shaped and it had a red orange flame-like pulse that was lighting it up, there were no sounds no trails or emissions, it moved very smoothly across the sky, there were four of us in the backyard that saw it clearly and all of us agreed it was something we have never seen before I was in awe by what it may be or what it is doing, the object kept traveling Southeast and eventually started to dim and vanished so we could no longer see it. As we were gathering our thoughts after this experience we were all shocked and nobody knew what to think about it other than a UFO, about ten minutes pass and a second one rises from the treeline in the same spot and travels the same exact path as the first looked the same exact way.

The Virginia General Assembly's BUDGET CONFERENCE COMMITTEE has agreed to appropriate 7.5 MILLION PER YEAR to operate the VIRGINIA COMMERCIAL SPACEFLIGHT AUTHORITY (VCSFA) along with authorizations for capital acquisition from undesignated VDOT balances. The appropriation provides a significant boost to Virginia's commercial spaceport development over the balance of the decade.
Many state policy observers believe the two-year budget conference committee passed state budget WILL BE ADOPTED LATER THIS MONTH by a vote of a majority of the Legislature. The vote, expected April 17, 2012, follows two contentious budget proposals killed by partisan party line 20-to-20 votes in the Virginia State Senate on unrelated issues.
Last month, the VIRGINIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY approved legislation reorganizing the VCSFA by downsizing the board of directors from 13-to-9 members, authorizes the use of 7.5 MILLION annually to support the capital needs, maintenance, and operating costs of facilities owned and operated by the Authority and, technical amendments to the possible new TAX TRANSFER REVENUE STREAM from commercial human spaceflight sold by Virginia-based SPACE ADVENTURES. The measure is now on GOVERNOR BOB MCDONNELL'S DESK to sign or recommend amendments prior to mid-April 2012. The measure is expected to become law July 1, 2012.
Later this year, Virginia-based ORBITAL SCIENCES CORPORATION will test the NEW ANTARES BOOSTER to carry commercial payloads to the International Space Station with subsequent cargo missions in six-month intervals thereafter through 2017 from a new launch pad. In addition, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at Wallops Island, Va. will host launches of the MINOTAUR-1 and Minotaur-5 to loft a USAF OPERATIONALLY RESPONSIVE SPACE (ORS-3) satellite and the NASA LADEE MOON mission, both in 2013.
Meanwhile, Florida's legislature has appropriated a one-time 10-million boost to SPACE FLORIDA with an ANNUAL 4-MILLION to expand commercial space developments. FLORIDA HAS VIEWED VIRGINIA as a POTENTIAL COMPETITOR FOR HUMAN SPACEFLIGHT OPERATIONS in this decade to the extent of FILING OBJECTIONS to an environmental impact statement relating to a human spaceflight study at the NASA Flight Facility, where the Virginia commercial spaceport is co-located.
THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is injecting millions of dollars into the FLORIDA SPACE LAUNCH INFRASTRUCTURE for commercial activities and the multi-billion dollar civil SPACE LAUNCH SYSTEM (SLS). The SLS is to carry humans beyond low earth orbit in the next decade.

This short little statement rang true to me. I sense that the script writers of reality can easily pencil in symbolic imagery right into the storyline of our lives. If they need to punctuate something within the narrative, they'll just add what's required for the desired effect.
The animal looking at the farm was an owl, and this is a powerful symbol, at least to me. What I also see in that statement is simply changing the word "animal" to either "UFO "or" synchronicity", and the message would ring just as true"

La Storia:Le immagini in questione erano custodite in una scatola in una soffitta di una casa in Arizona nella citt`a di Sedona, si tratterebbe di due diapositive Kodachrome che ritrarrebbero un extraterrestre dopo lo schianto di Roswell, e dopo la sua autopsia. La Kodak della sede di Rochester ha analizzato i fotogrammi e ne ha confermato l'autenticit`a, la pellicola risulta del 1947 e non risulta assolutamente manomessa, le emulsioni risultano originali.
Queste fotografie dimostrerebbero che effettivamente a Roswell nel 1947 `e caduto un UFO e che la famosa autopsia probabilmente non era un falso come per anni hanno voluto farci credere.
Sulla presentazione di tali foto si stanno giocando tutte le carte possibili e l'intera credibilit`a di un giornalista Maussan, che da tempo presenta il "Tercer Millenio", e di un ex astronauta della Nasa, sesto uomo sulla luna che da molto tempo sta ribadendo che non siamo soli e soprattutto sottolinea il grande insabbiamento da parte di enti come NASA e governo Americano.
La conferenza ha fatto il pienone ancora prima 10 000 posti in accrediti giornalistici e conferenza anche in streaming.
La mia pi`u grande paura `e che ora su internet circoleranno 3000 foto tutte simili a quelle due che stanno per presentare (come dimostrato sopra, tali foto prima non esistevano) e naturalmente tutte false in maniera tale da distrarre opinione pubblica e ricercatori fare di tutta l'erba un fascio e dichiarare tutto falso come al solito.
Attenderemo con ansia questa rivelazione... sperando che come al solito tutti i creduloni, scettici incrollabili e "man in black" non abbiano tempo di reagire.

Ostensibly, the UFO question is whether a non-human source is causing sightings, abductions, radar returns and flying saucer religions, but the intricacies of the problem impinge on so many other areas that we redefine them as well. Examples include reported physics of UFO movement, the question of cultural antecedents and perhaps how our society decides what is acceptable as serious study. That last one may be the most deconstructive effect of all. Changes in our mindset, and not any so-called "answers" may be the real reason behind the whole thing, or at least the most meaningful. There may indeed be "knowledge gained without awareness."
