Ufo Stories
Check out this cool story some students in 10D (teacher Liliana Aguiar) wrote as a creative writing assignment:

We were looking at the night sky when a UFO shaped like a boomerang appeared in our sight. There were fluorescent yellow lights and purple beams shooting from the UFO. Ana couldn't see well for a while because of all the lights. We think we saw it crash someplace near us so Tiago had the idea to go and look for it. It wasn't far away, so we found it quickly. The flying saucer was dark grey with black stripes and it was gigantic! Suddenly, something moved. Rafael let out a shriek when he saw a monster crawling out of the spaceship. It had red eyes, tentacles coming out of its nose, some green antlers that seemed to communicate in some way and it drooled on everything it passed by. A tiny dinosaur popped out from behind the creature. It appeared to be the alien's pet. It had a peculiar name tag that said "Darth Vader". We didn't know aliens could speak English, but since they had evolved to the point of travelling in time and space, they might as well do it.

The girls started to scream and Tiago said we needed to run away. The alien hadn't done anything dangerous yet, but we didn't know if it was friendly. Before the alien started moving, some people looking official came out of an SUV that had parked nearby. Rafael recognized one of them. It was Antunes, his childhood friend. The newcomers started approaching the alien holding some toasters. We didn't know what to do, but Rita wanted to help, so she raced to the SUV and grabbed some fairy wings and a magic wand and went to help. They were fighting with really weird weapons but they seemed to be working. The rest of us hid under some trees nearby. A few moments later everything had ended and Antunes sent us home, warning us not to tell anybody anything. From this day on we wouldn't forget the night we met Fernando, the alien, as he was named by the scientist who studied him.
