With the word Elephantine, is he talking about the space jockey being a creature of huge size or is he percieving the Space Jockey's breathing pipe to be a breathing pipe that ends in a filter like structure at the base of the ribcage but instead as an elephant trunk as depicted in the comic books.

Ricky Sorrells just wants answers. And, in light of what he's been through, it doesn't seem to be a lot to ask.
Witnessing an unidentified flying object four times since the beginning of the new year, then having military aircraft whizzing over his land and disrupting his sleep and livestock, followed by a string of mysterious phone calls and in person encounters from individuals demanding he "shut up" about what he saw, and landing unexpectedly in the international spotlight, has taken a toll on the 37-year-old man accustomed to the simple life.
"If you told me a while back that I would be sitting here talking to you about UFOs I would have said, 'No way, not in a million years," Sorrells said. " Now, I know for the rest of my life I'll keep looking to find out what it was."
Sorrells said he is receiving a lot of support from family and friends helping him to keep an eye on things. He said that support has been a great help to him.
"I'm not going to freak out or anything," Sorrells said. "I just think the government should come forward and help us to figure out this thing. I think people should write to their congressman or something."
Sorrells said soon after his Associated Press interview went around the world in mid-January - not only was he allegedly contacted by a Lt. Colonel telling him to keep quiet about what he saw, he was also contacted by a woman named Linda Moulton Howe.

Sorrells said he vaguely remembered listening to her on a radio program years ago while on a road trip and her name clicked with him. It was the only familiar name he knew and she promised to do an investigation so he agreed not to talk to anyone else until she could make the trip from New Mexico. Howe arrived in Dublin last week and stayed with Sorrells and his family to conduct the investigation and left late last week.
"I told her everything I knew and showed her my property," Sorrels said. "After she left, I felt I had honored my commitment with her. Things have settled down a little and I feel free to talk about the experiences I have had. I just didn't want to do anything that would interfere with her investigation because I want the truth."
He said the last time he saw the object he was able to get a video on his camera phone and said he has seen some other "pretty good footage" taken by others.
One night Sorrells said he had four helicopters flying at such low altitude that when a spotlight was shined up at them from Sorrells' pickup he could see the pilot throw his arm up in front of his eyes to block the light. But there has been another strange occurrence recently on his property that leads him to believe the military is involved. It was an unexpected visitor about 1 a.m. who may have left something behind.
"I was in bed asleep," Sorrells said. "I keep my bird dogs on the east side of my house and three others on the west side. The black lab doesn't bark until someone comes across the cattle guard and the Catahoula doesn't bark until she actually sees someone. They were all barking so I got up to see what was going on."
Sorrells said he walked to his bedroom window and looked out to the top of his driveway - he saw someone.
"I went around the bed and grabbed my rifle," Sorrells said.
His family was still sleeping, so with one hand on his gun and one hand on his backdoor knob, he peered through the window of the door to see if he could spot the intruder again.
"He had positioned himself in between the car and the pickup 40 to 50 feet from my back door," Sorrells said. "He stood staring at me rocking back and forth. I didn't think his feet were moving but the next morning when looking at his tracks I could tell they were."
Sorrels said it was cold and misting rain and it was obvious the guy was "dressed for the elements with a heavy parka-like coat."
He said he strained to see if the man carried a gun but could not see one but could clearly see the face of someone he thought to be in his late 20s or early 30s judging from the way he "walked and acted."
"I'm trying to decide whether or not to open the door," Sorrells said. "We're just standing there face to face looking at each other. I'm thinking he's dressed for the elements and the dogs are raising such a ruckus he must know he's in danger of being caught. That's when I realized he wanted me to see him."
Sorrells said the trespasser had positioned himself in such a way he decided he could be vulnerable if opened his door. He thought of his family and then the man slowly turned and walked into the woods.
"He walked through an area where I'd cleared the brush so apparently he'd been there before because he knew where to go," Sorrells said.
Sorrells said shortly after the unwelcome caller disappeared the dogs calmed down and he stayed up the rest of the night to keep watch.
Later, when walking through the woods on his property with Howe, he decided to return to a bare spot where his property line ends at a fence.
"It is washed out there and I like to go there to look for deer and turkey tracks." Sorrells said. He said he's an avid hunter and keeps abreast of the wildlife on his place. He said he had not been to this particular spot in about a month.
"The first thing I saw was a man's footprint," Sorrells said. "Ms. Howe videotaped me putting my foot beside it. The sun was going down and I saw something shiny."
Sorrells said he walked over and picked up a bullet - a shiny new 25-06 Remington - with some dotted tarnished smudges.
"I think the man that I saw that night dropped this bullet and the tarnished spots are from the misting rain that night," Sorrells said. " I just think it was the military showing me they could get to me if they wanted to."
Sorrells said he just doesn't think a hunter poaching on his property would've dropped the bullet. He said he doesn't have trouble with poachers. While he knows there is no way to prove it could have been from the same man it's something he keeps mulling over. Sorrells returned home with the bullet in hand and took it apart to look at the powder to see if he could glean any information at all. A local gun and ammunition authority said there was no way to identify if such a bullet was from a military source.
"Talking about military powder is like talking about military gasoline," he said. "There is no difference."
Meanwhile, Sorrells said he and other witnesses are considering setting up a Web site to encourage people to do what they can to influence government participation in finding out about the curious, sometimes frightening, sightings.
"I've heard that other countries are releasing information on what they know," Sorrells said. "We're thinking of calling it (the site) 'Stephenville Lights.' Too many people have seen something not to try and continue finding out about it. We want to know what it was."

I've been interested in the Universe and physics for most of my life. I've spent many nights just gazing at the stars looking for unusual objects. I've seen hundreds of satellites moving slowly across the night sky. I've seen the space station as light reflected off of it from the sun as it moved across the sky. I used to see them more frequently living on a farm in Cross Plains, Texas. Now living in the city the lights keep me from seeing such a large number of stars and planets, but on some nights the visibility is good. On several occasions recently I've see what I initially thought was a satellite moving across the sky only to see it make a complete u turn and head the opposite direction and I've seen small dimly lit objects moving in different directions across the night sky changing speeds but nothing I could say for sure it was a UFO. Last night I was having a hard time sleeping, so at 4:00 am I got up and went out to the front porch, it was a good clear night. When I first stepped outside I look across the street toward the Western Sky where I frequently see bright planets and stars, but when I looked up this time I immediately saw this very bright circular object, it was a bright as a car head lamp at one block away. It didn't cast a beam, it glowed brightly. I first thought to myself wow that is the brightest planet I've ever seen, not even thinking about UFO's. As I stood there for a few seconds it started moving away from me, so I sort of ran toward the road to get a better view. As I did this, the light started to dim until all that was left was a round transparent sphere. It looked like a clear glass ball in the sky. As it kept moving away it slowly disappeared out of sight. I actually stood there for a few minutes with my mouth wide open staring at the sky. This was like nothing I've seen before. it was big and bright and made no sound. I didn't see any air traffic around for several minutes. I know the patterns the planes take as they approach the airports or take off. I also see fighter jets as they take off from Carswell, they usually fly very high once they get this far. This object was within our atmosphere. Hard to tell how high but to guess 5,000 ft or less. At that height I would guess it was 300 feet in diameter. It emitted its own light, not a reflection.

Could the above photo be that of an actual landed alien spacecraft? So claims a witness in Texas who filed a report with MUFON on January 5, 2013.
In the report the person alleges his father works for an oil company in Cotulla, Texas, and goes on to explain: "...They had noticed that some people were taking the crude oil in the night... they started putting cameras up around the areas. One night one camera caught a UFO."
The witness alleges that the photo had already been circulated among the workers before it was seen by his father, who then gave the image to his son who consequently filed the report.

UFO SIGHTING IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA ON JULY 1ST 1972 - OBSERVED OBJECT MOVING EXTREMELY FAST NORTH TO SOUTH THEN AGAIN IN REVERSE TO FIRST LOCATION MAKING 90 DEGREE TURN TO WEST AND DISAPPEARED
I had recently been seperated from active duty from the US Navy stationed in Charleston S.C. and had been assigned to the Nuclear Submarine Services. I had moved to Savannah, Georgia and was sitting in my home when my wife alerted me to this strange light moving in the sky to the north. I went out and observed this light as it left it's hovering position and moved south at an EXTREMELY FAST speed. To my knowledge at the time mankind had nothing that could move THAT fast not even a missile. In just a matter of a couple of seconds it was out of sight. We stood there wondering what in the world it could have been when it reappeared moving south to north and as it approached the location where I first saw it, it suddenly did a 90 degree turn to the west and kept going in the direction toward Macon where Warner Robbins Air Force is located. There was at the time a Russian ship tied up at a pier in Savannah supposedly for some types of emergency repairs. I wasn't convinced that it was just a coincidence that that ship just happened to be there at the same. I immediately contacted Hunter Air Force base located in Savannah and told by the duty officer that there had been no radar detection and the same at Warner Robbins. Not satisfied with that I then called and spoke with the on-duty officer at NORAD at Cheyenne Mountain and told the same thing. NO RADAR CONTACT DETECTED! I have never believed that and until now I have not spoken of it since that night. I could be trusted with a top secret clearance and work on this country's first line of defense against nuclear attack namely fleet ballistic missile submarines but I couldn't be believed when I reported these sightings to the Air Force. It kinda leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. IT HAPPENED AND NO ONE WILL EVER CONVINCE ME I DIDN'T SEE IT WITH MY OWN TWO EYES!

Alien Cactus eats meat found meteor crater at Roswell, New Mexico, UFO Sighting News.
Little green men are no strangers to Roswell, but now one New Mexico botanist says a little green plant has an out-of-this world connection to New Mexico.
David Salman said he was on a seed hunting trip near Roswell when he noticed a faint glow coming from what appeared to be a meteor crater.
He said it turned out the light was coming from a small patch of carnivorous cacti.
Salman said he found a cactus that eats bugs, glows and probably came to earth on a meteor.
He says he scooped up some samples to see if someone could identify them, so far no one has been able to.

For some residents in Leupp, the wait ended with the most recent incident of a UFO visiting the area. It reportedly took place at approximately 7:40 p.m., Wed., Jan. 24 and was visible until after 9 p.m.
According to Sean and Deanna Dover, they were driving home from Flagstaff toward Leupp when Deanna spotted a curious looking object above their Honda Accord. "I saw a bright light and told my brother to watch it," Deanna, 20, said. "Then it disappeared, then reappeared. I didn't see it as much as he did, because I had to concentrate on driving."
"We were about 10 miles out of Leupp and my sister said she saw something," said Sean, a senior at Sinagua High School. "It had a circle around it and was about one-and-a-half miles above us. It had three lights and was a triangular shape. We kept on driving and when we reached Leupp we saw it had four lights," Sean said.The UFO then flew over the Church of the Nazarene and the Leupp Public School, they said.
"When it reached the edge of town it went into stealth mode and had only one dim light," Sean remembered. The pair drove through Leupp and rushed home to tell their parents what they'd experienced."We went inside and got my dad's night vision goggles," Sean said explaining that his father is a Navajo Nation Police Ranger equipped with the special device enabling the user to see clearly in the dark.
Sean, Deanna and their parents then went outside to watch the object."Then two jets intercepted it in the air. They came from the southwest," Sean said. "Then it headed east. Eight minutes later it lost them and circled back to Leupp. When it got here it started blinking its lights."
Sean explained his confidence in the identification of the object as a UFO and not any other type of aircraft. "It was traveling too fast to be an airplane and not emitting any noises that a helicopter or plane would have made flying that high," Sean said.
As the family viewed the events, their mother Daisy's friend and colleague Denise Fredericks, a fifth grade teacher at the Leupp Elementary School was witnessing the same things from her nearby home."I was coming home from my son's basketball game in Dilkon. When I came inside the house my husband said, 'Daisy just called and said there was something in the sky,' then I saw a triangular thing go overhead," Fredericks said.
Fredericks and Daisy Scott-Dover then met in the center of Leupp near the gas station and watched the events with approximately 30 other stargazers. "There were two other planes and another aircraft that it looked like was refueling them," Fredericks said.
"It was flying straight and then it turned. It went toward Bird Springs and then turned toward Tolani Lake and then came back this way," she said. Each of the witnesses described the object as triangular with three or four tiers. On the underside of the craft was a sphere with a pulsating light.Fredericks and Scott-Dover said the UFO emitted a "yellowish" light and was approximately twice the size of the Leupp Elementary School gymnasium.
The UFO circled the area 15 times. On the last turn, the craft lights went dark, then suddenly and rapidly illuminated across in a sequential pattern. Finally, the UFO headed southeast toward Winslow.
According to the viewers, several other witnesses attempted to snap shots of the events. However, due to the darkness and distance from the ground, capturing the aircrafts in a photo was not possible.
Each of those interviewed said the events were unique due to the proximity of the UFO to the ground, as well as the fact that it was traveling alone. However, it was not the first time they had experienced the presence of a UFO."It was really interesting to watch. I believe that it really was a UFO because of my family's history. I've seen [UFO'S] too many times to remember," Sean said.
"Leupp is a hot spot for UFO's."Sean said that "normally" there are numerous UFO's traveling together in a triangular formation."We see them, well, I don't want to say we see them all the time, but it's happened before," Deanna said.
"WHEN THEY HAD THAT BIG SIGHTING IN PHOENIX BACK IN 1991, WE SAW THE SAME LIGHTS HERE THE NIGHT BEFORE. I guess it's just that no one ever calls it in or reports it here. This was pretty cool. I've never seen anything that detailed before because it was so close."
Dover-Scott and Fredericks agreed that Leupp residents are no strangers to such events and cited similar experiences 15 and 17 years ago. "We get so excited about these things," Fredericks said. "It was unbelievable because you hear of sightings, but when it happens to you."
"I guess people don't talk about it because it's kind of a mystery," Deanna offered.

As for myself, I've seen a cylindrical silver object a few years ago on a clear day between Winslow & Two Guns. I was traveling I-40 east bound around 3pm during an early summer. I was traveling with my local firefighters back to Ganado when this event happened.
There were a couple of sightings I encountered over the past 20 years or so here on the NE Navajo Reservation. Do I think they exist? Yes, I truly do. One thing is that the US Gov. is hiding all the info. from the public and they won't & will never disclose the truth!

I'm curious about the difference between the shape of the object in Sean's drawing (i.e., circle shaped) as opposed to the verbal description of it being triangular. Why the apparent discrepancy? I'm probably more curious than most readers because I had a sighting of a triangular UFO a few years ago.

I've seen UFO's on various parts of the Navajo reservation since I was 8 years old (I'll be 37 this year). This is the first time I've seen a reporting of the experience. I was very excited to read about it. Since there are not any local media sources to contact quickly, most sightings go unreported.
In my experience, Luepp and Greasewood (60 miles north of Holbrook) are two places where unusual lights are not so unusual anymore.

I read the story, and I believe it! I have observed "Unidentified Flying Objects" myself in Burntwater, AZ, located just northeast of Sanders, AZ. The UFO witnessed by Sean and Deanna was probably not any form of space alien(s), but perhaps a form of government testing, and on the reservation where the area is remote, and no stranger to insignificant exposure.

I believe such sightings myself. I live in Las Vegas, Nv. I've seen numerious sightings on my way home to Las Vegas from Kingman, Az. My daughter doesn't like my speaking of it. It scares her, so I too have never spoke of it. My sightings were late at night and I'm always on the look out for them.

my wife and i just walked outside from a friends birthday party. While my wife unlocked the car door i looked up at the sky and saw about 6 reddish orange lights in the sky. the lights all seemed to be equal distance from each other. the first few were a little higher than the trailing lights. they moved at a very slow rate from left to right in the sky, very slow. after a minute or so the lights started to disappear. the direction that i saw them, there is an airport that way. but these did not seem like normal airplane lights. they were unusual with so many so close and all moving uniformly through the sky. then they just disappeared.

Acsending stream of red lights - maybe 20 or more - not aircraft - not fireworks. Riding scooter home in Cromwell headed west on high hill. I saw red lights on the horizon due south ascending in an arc as if each was following the other. They ascended and then disapeared slowly. They could have been coast gaurd flares sent from long island sound (guess). Another observer stopped and watched too. The whole thing lasted about 2 minutes.

What's true to all ex-officials reporting their knowledge and experience regarding UFOs is that it's their own courage and integrity to speak out that made it possible for us to hear to full story. If it was up to the government to decide, we would never know anything about it, which leaves us wondering how many of these men still remain silent with some of the greatest stories ever not to be told.
LEROY GORDON COOPER (March 6, 1927 - October 4 2004), an American aeronautical engineer and a test pilot who became part of Project Mercury, the first manned space effort by the US. Cooper was the first American to sleep in space, and broke several other space flight records during his active Astronaut career.
In 1951, while stationed Landstuhl Air Base in West Germany, Cooper had his first encounter with a UFO craft. During one of his routine flights over European skies, Cooper saw a number of UFOs flying above his plain in what he describes as the same formation as the one the US Air Force planes were in, but much faster and way higher in altitude. Saucer in shape, and metallic looking, the UFOs performed maneuvers that were impossible for man made aircrafts to perform. He also mentioned that these kind of sightings were not uncommon for pilots to report during those days.
In 1957, Cooper was assigned o the Fighter Section of the Experimental Flight Test Engineering Division at Edwards Air Force Base in California, were he acted as a project manager and test pilot.
On May 3rd of the same year he send two men crew under his command to install sophisticated precision landing system cameras on a dry lake bed, meant to take pictures at one frame per second as aircraft landed, using both motion and still cameras. Later that day the crew reported to Cooper with an astonishing story, they encountered a "strange looking saucer" on the test site.
They told Cooper of the craft that hovered over them, pulled out three landing gears and landed 50 yards away from them but made absolutely no sound. They immediately approached to get some more pictures of the saucer, this time from close up, when the UFO took off.
Cooper looked through the regulation book in order to find who he needs to call in order to file such a report, and found the special Pentagon number for incidents of this kind. He was eventually instructed by a General to have the film developed but make no prints of it, and send it right away to Washington. As he was not ordered to refrain from looking at the negatives before sending them away he did so. What he saw he describes as good quality images, as would be expected by the accomplished photographers that took them, that contained exactly what his crew men described. He did not see the movie film before it was all sent away to Washington by airplane.
Major Donald 'Deke' Slayton (1924-1993) was an American bomber and test pilot, who was originally selected to the Mercury missions, the first manned space effort by NASA. He was part of the 1975 Apollo-Soyuz space mission.
Slayton had a UFO encounter in 1951, during one of his many test flight.
"I was testing a P-51 fighter in Minneapolis when I spotted this object. I was at about 10,000 feet on a nice, bright, sunny afternoon. I thought the object was a kite, then realized that no kite is gonna [sic] fly that high. As I got closer, it looked like a weather balloon, gray and about three feet in diameter. But as soon as I got behind the darn thing, it didn't look like a balloon anymore. It looked like a saucer, a disc. About that same time, I realized that it was suddenly going away from me - and there I was, running at about 300 miles an hour. I tracked it for a little while, and then all of sudden the damn thing just took off. It pulled about a 45-degree climbing turn and accelerated and just flat disappeared. A couple of days later, I was having a beer with my commanding officer, and I thought, 'what the hell, I'd better mention something to him about it.' I did, and he told me to get on down to intelligence and give them a report. I did, and I never heard anything more on it." (National Enquirer, October 23, 1979.)
Two thoughts that came to mind after going through all the information on this subject.
1. Why isn't the main stream media demand straight answers after such critical evidence and testimonies are presented?
2. Our tax payer funded space programs seem to hold out the information they have (quite easy when there is no real public and media pressure). We paid for it, we deserve to know.
