What Is Area 51
There will always be an air of mystery surrounding the reality and myth of what Area 51 actually is or was. The CIA documents that have been discovered give even the most skeptical a glimpse in the operation of what might have been the secret government facility designated to explore alien life. The Groom Lake military installation however, for those that are not so willing to consider its alien life requirements - remains an aero space command center and very much an engineering platform buried and disguised.

So how much can actually be know for a fact about the Area 51 zone? How much of what is known is speculation and what can be treated as fact? Many suspect that the base had actually been functional, but in no case as a alien technology laboratory, but simply as a base where aero-special technology was developed and tested.

Area 51 however got too much press and too much attention from the part of less than truth seeking journalists, and when that lack of professionalism was doubled by the intersection of "evidence" bestowals, the only certifiable thing was the popularity itself. Therefore, the stories that continue on and develop are more akin to the development of myths, an actually interesting piece of information to study. The government has always denied any covert operations or activities having been run in the area, or elsewhere, concerning alien technology or life.

People will always be fascinated by the Area 51. In a sense it is a cultural heritage, a wish of a nation, materialized in the 60s to be better than other nations. If anything, the hunt for aliens, UFOs and other such objects and technology was nothing more than a way of expressing a fear - the Americans have always wanted to be the number one nation and they crafted their reality, irreverent to truth and scientifically proven fact.
