So I now have two UFO sightings to investigate, Cases #XXXXX and #XXXXX, and with any luck I will be able to begin both investigations within the next few days. I have been in contact with one of the witnesses, and hope to interview her in person next week. I have not made contact with the second witness yet, but if he checks his voice mail regularly he'll know I want to talk to him, and soon.
As exciting as that is, I still can't help wondering about the ones that got away... namely, the Close Encounter of the Fourth Kind involving creatures who "toyed with" a deer hunter in his hunting stand in Waushara County late last year, and the more recent and more local case that involves that loveable old hairy biped himself, Bigfoot, who apparently lives right here in my home county!
Luckily, now that I have complete access to MUFON's Case Management System (CMS), I can read up on those other investigations to see what my fellow MUFON Certified Field Investigators have uncovered...
The deer hunter case, as fun as it sounds, seems to lead up a blind alley. On the primary data form, the witness only gives his first name, Cxxxx, and the only narrative testimony consists of the simple statement: "They were life forms that trapped me in my deer hunting stand and toyed with me." The only other information on the form indicates that an object was sighted, and that it reflected light, made a noise and affected the witness physically.
Pretty slim pickings... But wait! Surely there's more information on Form 7, the "Entity Form." I click on Form 7 and find... nothing. No description of any sort. Cxxxx did not bother to fill in the check marks indicating the number of eyes, noses, mouths and ears the life forms possessed, nor did he indicate whether the eyes glowed.
God, I love MUFON Investigation Forms. How many forms do you get to fill out in life that seriously ask you to indicate how many eyes, ears, mouths and noses your new friend has? Not to mention whether the eyes glowed?
Anyway, an email was sent to Cxxxx, and it seems to have gone unanswered. Lastly, the case was assigned to MUFON's S.T.A.R. Team, which could be a thrilling development, except for the fact that the hotshots have decided to sit this one out.
Pity.
But what about Bigfoot? Surely he has generated a juicier case report than the toying life forms of Waushara County. Let's find out...
Upon opening the file I am immediately confused because Vxxxx, my State Director, told me that she was investigating this one, but the CMS entry lists this case as "Completed," and classified as an "IFO -- Natural Phenomenon." Hmmm...
Still, I need to know more, and the primary data form tells a pretty detailed story. The witness and his/her friend have been seeing a glowing orb hovering over a woodsy, marshy, duck pond-y area pretty much every Saturday night from 8 to 10 pm. Sometimes they watch it from a pickup truck, sometimes they stand outside and watch, and the only time they have tried to approach it, it has vanished. So, ok, it's a "natural phenomenon," according to the boss, but it also happens to have appeared in an area where the two witnesses have been looking for Bigfoot.
Maybe I'm too much of a stickler, but is it wrong of me to wonder why these two people have been looking for Bigfoot in this particular woodsy, marshy, duck pond-y area in Jefferson County, Wisconsin? Has Bigfoot been sighted here in the recent past? What information are they privvy to?
This is where it gets good. It turns out that the person who submitted the UFO report is part of a "Bigfoot Team." A "Bigfoot Team". Right here in my own county.
My son Nxxx just asked "How did you not know about this? How did you not "start "this?" I was nonplussed. How "could "I have not known? It's embarrassing.
One of the defining characteristics of Bigfoot is that he has large feet, as illustrated here.
Anyway, the BT (Bigfoot Team) consists of three people -- possibly neighbors of mine, possibly my kids' teachers, possibly the guy who delivers my mail or the gal who cuts my hair or the guy who works on my car -- who regularly patrol this woodsy, etc., area somewhere within a few miles of where I'm sitting now. And what do they do there, besides mistake natural phenomenon for UFOs for hours at a time? They do what any Bigfoot Team would do: they take plaster castings of huge humanoid footprints they find in the soil, they make note of unnatural manipulation of tree branches, they set up remote surveillance cameras that never work when they want them to, and they leave out bananas.
They are also very secretive about their identities and the location of their hunting grounds, and are described as being "very protective" of Bigfoot, which would be touching if it wasn't so damned irritating and selfish. Protective of Bigfoot? Why, if that hairy beast wandered into town it could cause a panic. It might even hurt or kill someone. Protective of Bigfoot? What about the children?
I need to get in touch with these people, and I have an idea for how to do it: I could print up nice little signs that say "Psst: I have information about Bigfoot. Call me at 555-555-5555" (that's not my real number, so don't bother to call -- I would use my real number on the real signs), then leave the signs in the banana section of all the produce aisles of all the supermarkets in the county.

Friday night, August 23 at 8 pm I was outside smoking a cigar in La Mirada, California. There were many jets and planes in the night sky, like usual. You can see the jets heading to the LA airport to land coming from many directions. At 8pm, a bright light went directly over me. It came from the north and flew out of sight to the south. There were no collision lights and no sound. The light did seem to pulse, but very different than collision lights seen on the jets and planes. But for the most part, this first event was a solid white light. This event took about 4 minutes. Anyway, this light did not look like any of the dozens of planes seen while standing outside. Then there was a second sighting at 8:20 pm. This bright light also traveled from the north to the south, but passed more to the east from me. This time, the light slowly turned off just after it passed me. Just turned off. nothing. This second event lasted about 2 minutes.

On Friday night,December 26, 2014 somewhere about 9:00 p.m. while sitting on my couch watching a movie with my kid, through the window I saw the first orange fire light.
The instant I saw that color I knew it was the thing me and about twenty of my friends saw about ten years ago. So I hustled to the deck door calling my kid to come and we went on the deck and watched these three 'orange fire things 'just come out of the south at a good pace.
Then they got directly west of me and turned northeast and went off upwardly. My kid gave me the phone and I pointed it at the thing, the last one and got a terrible video.
(It was dark and I'm outside in my underwear) anyway, it was really calm and these things were moving a a good pace.
It was silent, just absolutely silent and not light, but for sure orange fire and just so hard to tell the distance to them.
I just have no idea what they were, I was just thinking how can I not hear this,what's moving it? It was so clear, so clearly fire, but silent.

Over the years, there have been countless considerations of giant sea monsters, but what about the real, original leviathan? This colossal mystery beast of the Bible - "the piercing serpent...that crooked serpent...the dragon that is in the sea" (Isaiah, 27:1) - is, after all, the creature whose name has ultimately become an umbrella term for large, unidentified water beasts everywhere - as evinced by Tim Dinsdale's classic book on this subject, "The Leviathans" (1966, 1976).
The Old Testament contains four references to this monstrous sea creature, which provide several important morphological features - including its huge size, extensively scaled body, elongate shape, large plentiful teeth, shining eyes, powerful neck, smoking nostrils, and distinctive fins. Biblical scholars have nominated several different animals as the leviathan's identity, but whereas each possesses some of its characteristics, none has all of them.
The most popular identity is the Nile crocodile "Crocodylus niloticus", which is indeed scaly and somewhat elongate, with an abundance of large teeth, a powerful neck, shining eyes, and a sizeable (albeit not enormous) body. However, it possesses neither fins nor smoking nostrils, and is not marine in habitat. Sharks are marine and finned, some are very large and fairly elongate, and many have plenty of large teeth, but not smoking nostrils, shining eyes, or scales.
Whales are also marine, finned, often very large and quite streamlined, and some have many large teeth. Moreover, the spray spouted upwards from around their blow-holes when they exhale could conceivably be distorted into smoke during the telling and retelling of leviathan reports over successive generations - but whales are neither scaly nor shiny-eyed, and their necks are almost invisible.
And so it goes on - even identities as unlikely as the rock python "Python sebae" have been offered in a desperate attempt to reconcile this exceptional creature with a known type of animal.
Most probably, the leviathan is a non-existent composite, part-myth and part-reality. The latter component comprises a hotchpotch of distinctive features drawn from all of the animals noted above, and possibly one other too - a bona fide sea serpent.
On account of its scaly skin, veteran cryptozoologist Dr Bernard Heuvelmans considered the leviathan to be of the 'marine centipede' type. (Thus, according to his belief in what those creatures are, it would have been a modern-day armoured archaeocete - however, we nowadays know that such beasts never existed, as they were merely artefacts caused by archaeocete fossils being fiound in association with scales from other, unrelated creatures.) Conversely, I believe that if the leviathan is either a sea serpent or a myth inspired in part by sightings of one, then it is more likely to be a living mosasaur.

Indeed, this identity uniquely combines all of the leviathan's features - its scaly body, elongate shape, shining eyes (typical of many large reptiles), powerful neck, fins, great size (as with the tylosaurs), large plentiful teeth, and smoking nostrils (as with the whale identity, no doubt a reference to the spouting of water displaced from around its nostrils when exhaling underwater). Yet only a complete specimen can conclusively test this hypothesis.
"Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook?", asks Job (41:1). Judging from science's singular lack of success in securing the carcase of any type of genuine water monster via any of the traditional means utilised in capturing aquatic animals, the answer to this question would appear, quite definitely, to be no! Clearly, then, it is time to develop a different means of obtaining such evidence - one commensurate with the sophisticated technology now available for scientific research - for until such evidence is obtained, all of the leviathans documented by water monster chroniclers down through the ages will continue to remain an abiding mystery.
In 1886, Charles Gould passed the following remarks in his book "Mythical Monsters":
"Let the relations of the sea-serpent be what they may; let it be serpent, saurian, or fish, or some form intermediate to them; and even granting that those relations may never be determined, or only at some very distant date; yet, nevertheless, the creature must now be removed from the regions of myth, and credited with having a real existence, and that its name includes not one only, but probably several very distinct gigantic species, allied more or less closely, and constructed to dwell in the depths of the ocean, and which only occasionally exhibit themselves to a fortune-favoured wonder-gazing crew."
It is a sad reflection of zoology's longstanding disinterest in the subject of water monsters that those words are as relevant today as they were more than a century ago.

My friend went outside to "look for ufos" and immediately called me outside and showed me two lights in sky that moved as if intelegently controled and seemed to be stars at first, but because of the movement seemed like spaceships that were very huge and moved outrageously fast and deliberate then dissappearing in an instant. My friend went out the next night telling me he could "feel" them calling him. The lights were there again and doing same thing. I began to go out with him each night for about a week and they never returned after that.

Two calls were from people who were either being attacked by aliens, or were reporting an alien home invasion.
Three of the calls were from people seeking police assistance because extraterrestrials were allegedly in the process of abducting them, or coming to abduct them.
Four calls were from people who reported that they were either talking to aliens or hearing aliens talking to them.
The remaining fourteen calls were from people reporting that they had seen extraterrestrials in West Midlands.

So, out of every 100 humans, only one will be left alive. A city of 5 million souls becomes a city of 50,000 with 4,950,000 bodies.
What then awaits that 50,000?
At this time there is no indication to mankind that their is anything out there perpetrating this murderous rampage. We put it down to terrorists or a natural outbreak. So there is no sense of a common enemy to be fought to rally the remaining humans.
The first thoughts involve survival. A supermarket's dairy, meat, deli and fresh foods wont last more than a week or two before the food goes off. So after two weeks your left with the frozen food, dry foods and canned foods. If the electricity shuts down, for example, the coal burning generators run out of coal, which presumably wouldn't take long, perhaps a day at most, then the frozen food section goes down, leaving only canned and dry foods. Also, when the electricity fails, the water pumps stop pumping water through the city, so bottled water becomes the only safe water source - given that 80 people would consume about 160 litres of drinking water a day, that supermarket is going to run out very, very fast. Dry within a few days. (Why 80 people? Well, I live in a town of about 24,000 people. We have three large supermarkets. One percent of 24,000 is 240. 240/3 is 80.)
If electricity is maintained for a few more days or weeks, for example through hydro electricity, the water still becomes unsafe, as the chemicals added to the water to make it safe runs out, letting contaminated water run through the pipes. Why contaminated? That's why they use the chlorine now. Water has never been a safe drink - people drinking water have died from water born viruses and bacteria for at least the past few hundred years - I don't see when it would have ever been different.
So, safe drinking water ends with the last bottle of bottled water.
Now, after two weeks the stench and disease from the rotting 4,950,000 bodies would be pretty obvious. With 99 bodies to every 1 person living, burning them is highly unlikley because of the risk from handling the dead and the risk of the fire spreading. Besides, when you're focused on survival, who has time to spend so much time gathering their 'share' of the dead and burying them? Rat and cockroach numbers would be flourishing. Most people alive would likely be trying to leave the cities to find more food and avoid the stench and impending plagues. A few would likely try to survive in the inner city, away from the suburbs and the corpses, not realising the vermon will enter the inner city looking for food as the meat is devoured, bringing with them plagues of different illnesses.
I suspect the city would be devoid of all human life within a few short months.
This scenario assumes a rapid kill rate, but as the aliens are intelligent, they will likely use a slower acting virus, one that kills in about two to three weeks. That way, the living will be focused on saving their loved ones, feeding their loved ones...that way, even more of those who survive the biological alien assault will be much less likely to survive themselves, as they have used up basically all the food and water in the city before their loved ones have even died. Human attachment to each other would be perfect for using against us by aliens. With so many dying, there would be no one to power/repair the generators, bring new food in...Petrol pumps stop working when the generators go down as well, so it becomes longer and harder to extract it - manually of course. Also, the petrol suplies are not being replenished over the period when everyone is focused on keeping their kin alive.
Most people escaping, being so unfamiliar with survival, would then perish in the countryside. Food takes months to grow, few would know what to eat off the land. The large grain fed cattle stations would be void of life, as the cattle would die of starvation from not being fed.
Is anywhere safe? No. The aliens would deposit the virus in a multitude of locations to wipe us out. How would the aliens deploy the virus? To avoid detection they might use transporter technology. Our scientists are already able to transport very tiny particles, such as that found in light, using transporter technology (you know, like the Star Trek beam me up thingy). So, add another fifty years to our technology, transporting a virus that way should be feasible. So it would be feasible to the invading aliens now. Even if transporter technology is still not that efficent in fifty years in our technology, low flying stealth probes, which we could not detect, could easily disperse the virus quickly and effiently throughout our atmosphere and or water ways - but air would be the easiest to contaminate and something we do all breathe after all.
Now these aliens are smarter than this yet again, rather than just use one virus with 99+% kill rate, the aliens add another virus which then kills another 99+%. So the 50,000 who survived one virus is then reduced to 500. Add another virus and you bring that 500 down to five. Australia is reduced to a population of around 15 to 20 souls - extinction time for the human species. To be on the safe side, the alien invaders add a fourth virus to their cocktail, which presumably kills just about all of us off around the world, not quite all of us, but so close to all of us that it doesn't really matter.
The advantage of the multiple cocktail approach is that it assures virtual extinction in a short period of time and makes it much harder for any scientest to work out exactly what they are trying to fight within the two to three weeks they are left to live in. The alien invasion is achieved then in a matter of weeks.
Why would this slightly more technologically advanced alien specie want to wipe us out? Invariably it's to increase their own wealth and or power. Contrary to popular belief, it is now realised in scientific circles that oil is a renewable resource. It is created through an interaction that happens to carbon as it is moved up through the mantle:
