Its the 4th of july and my friend and I went to BBQ at a friends in briggsdale. Around 8:00 is when we first seen it fell from the sky like a drop of rain fell down in a straight line then started to almost "dance like" above the ground and then continued in the sky all 3 of us seen it for about 20 to 30mins the longest I have ever seen one. It dropped from the sky a few more times the same way we seen it the first time. The only odd thing I really remember is at one point it started to come closer and in the field not to far from where it was hovering we could see this "human like" person watching us watch it very creepy it never moved but when the light was gone the figure was gone as well. I have a total of 5 videos that I took that night but I am only gona post this one if anyone wishes to see the other videos or would like to know more about this please contact me.

This report covers a stunning sighting of a very unusual object which was seen making highly unusual manoeuvres in the area of Blackridge in Scotland. There are numerous aspects to the case which are very interesting indeed.
SIGHTING DETAILS
One night in the summer of 1975 or 76, Tom Collins got up to use the bathroom in his upper floor flat on Langside Drive, Bathgate. It was between 3-4am. He decided to take a look out of the bathroom window to see what type of a night it was. The bathroom had a small frosted window which he pushed open. It was a warm, clear and still night with good visibility. The sun had not yet started to come up.

It was now that he noticed a very strange object in the distance. About 3 miles from his flat to the West was Hillend Loch. The object was situated a little closer to his position than the Eastern end of the loch. It was about 50-100 feet in the air. It was a rounded trapezoid shape, taller than it was wide. On the base of the object appeared to be many multi-coloured. These were in two bands, one rotating in a clockwise direction and one rotating anti-clockwise. It was hard to tell the colour of the object due to the distance and the glow from the lights. It appeared to be about the size of a bus.

At first the object appeared to be stationary. Then suddenly it moved almost instantaneously in a Southerly direction by about 1000 feet. It was now much closer to a TV mast on Dews hill, to the South East of his location.

It remained there for several minutes then suddenly moved back to its original position near the loch. This movement was so fast it almost looked like it had teleported from one location to the other. He continued to watch the unusual object. It continued to make this same manoeuvre. Sometimes it would also move up or down, but would always stop for a time before suddenly shifting. Tom got the impression that it was interacting in some way with the mast.

Tom was absolutely fascinated by what was taking place, and continued to watch the object for up to an hour. He did not have a car so could not drive out closer to where the UFO was situated. Neither did he have a camera at the time, otherwise he would have tried to capture it on film. At some point he did wake his wife up to also see the UFO but she says she cannot remember this anymore after such a long time.
In the end Tom decided to go back to sleep as he had to wake up in the morning. He has no idea of when the UFO finally left the area. This sighting changed his views on the UFO subject forever, and ever since he has believed in them.
SIGHTING ANALYSIS
This is a fascinating sighting and one which appears to be of a genuine advanced craft. Its appearance does not fit in with it being a helicopter or other conventional object. The shape is extremely bizarre and I have not investigated many other sightings similar to it. It is unlikely to have been a remote controlled model or electronically lit inflatable. It seems too large to have been a model, and if it was a hoax of some kind surely the owner would want to fly it round the area, possibly at a time when more people would witness it, rather than just move it back and forth next to a TV mast for ages? Also the incredibly fast erratic manoeuvres which the object was seen to perform were of course much too fast for it to have been something mundane.
The movements the object was making seem to designate intelligence, and suggest that it was interacting with the TV mast in some way. Perhaps it was draining energy off it, as has been reported before in other sightings. It is unlikely that a secret military flown craft would do this, they would have no real reason to do this. Therefore I feel that it was probably ET in origin.
It is a shame that the witness did not own a camera, especially considering how long it was in the area for. The length of the sighting is impressive and makes me wonder if other people also saw the UFO, although considering the time of morning the sighting occurred perhaps Tom was the only witness. Primarily, that interest would be in how our reaction fits into their motivation. If they are aggressive, blasting them with nuclear weapons would not fit into their plans. If they are paternal and protective, they might be worried about what we will do to ourselves, and our fragile little civilization, while running around willy-nilly in the streets.-They would study us carefully before making contact. Unless they just happen to be passing through the neighborhood, they would want to know exactly what they are dealing with here on planet Earth.-The Internet gives them access to a great deal of information about us. In the 1960s we imagined the alien view of earthlings after watching our commercial television broadcasts. It seems likely that they would want to park themselves in the neighborhood and do some web surfing for a while to have a better idea of who we are.-Who they contact and how they do it would be a primary concern. You can't just show up anywhere on Earth and say hello. Some parts of our planet would be unable to handle such an event. Other nations would try to control it for self-interest.-It would not be in their best interest to show up on the White House lawn to say hello. Direct First Contact with one nation brings a whole host of world political problems. It's like choosing sides in a hockey match before you know how the game will end. You're much better off saying hello to both teams and all of the spectators. Or in the case of planet Earth, the 192 countries recognized by the United Nations (and perhaps even the ones not recognized) and not just the United States. When will they decide to make Direct First Contact? I don't even know that they exist, so the answer is probably never. But if they are out there contemplating the best time for the big hello, I would say it comes down to a couple of factors:-A reasonable level of global political stability. Arriving during a world-wide war would probably be a bad idea.-A point at which there is a world body that could handle the diplomatic needs of Direct First Contact. That pushes any possibility of the event further into the future. The United Nations has a lot of work to do before it could be considered fit to handle the diplomatic needs of Direct First Contact. Researchers at SETI are using radio signals in order to detect other possible civilizations elsewhere in the Galaxy for various reasons, the main one being our own civilization: we are emitting considerable amounts of electromagnetic radiation as a byproduct of communications, and many radio frequencies penetrate the atmosphere quite easily.
However, you might argue that this doesn't mean any other civilization would do the same, especially considering that technology changes quickly, and that our own emissions are constantly decreasing. Also, any signal would have to be pretty strong to be detectable.
Abraham Loeb of Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and Edwin Turner of Princeton University have now suggested a new way for detecting alien civilization, and it is pretty simple: we should look for their city lights. So if it is that simple, why aren't we already doing it? The only limitation is technology: to glimpse the light of alien cities, researchers would have to be able to distinguish it from the glare of their parent star. According to the two scientists, the slight change in light from an exoplanet as it moves around its star should be detectable. Indeed, an inhabited exoplanet with city lighting would emit more light than one without artificial lighting during a dark phase (when orbiting its star the planet would go through phases similar to those of our Moon).
With our current technology, the team estimates that we should be able to detect a Tokyo-sized metropolis on Pluto. Obviously, it's very unlikely that there is any alien civilization out there or anywhere in the Kuiper Belt (the region in which Pluto is orbiting the Sun). However, by the time the first Earth-like exoplanets are found, our technology will have improved and should be able to detect the artificial lights of potential nearby Earth twins.
Although this technique also relies on the assumption that any alien civilization would use Earth-like technologies, it seems rather difficult to avoid artificial lighting, unlike radio signals. And that's why I personally hope to see such research being done in the near future.
