Creature Controversies
There's a lot of good crypto-stories over at "THE ANOMALIST" today, and here they are:

Meldrum & Keating on Today Show "CRYPTOMUNDO". Renowned cryptozoologist Loren Coleman takes exception to the way a television program, one of the weekday morning staples for viewers across America, presents the science of cryptozoology. With video. Elsewhere, Coleman notes another network television presentation in ABC News Boosts Bogus Bigfoot and presents video footage in The Kryder Blobsquatch Image. Also presented by Coleman today, video footage of Coconut-carrying Octopuses and Their Komic Kin and Are Jackalopes Real? Remembering the Mothman "APPALACHIAN INDEPENDENT". Point Pleasant, WV, was placed on the map in a way most towns probably would not appreciate. It all began with a mysterious encounter in 1966 and continues today as a reason for tourists to visit the town. Nick Diamond recreates what happened in Point Pleasant and talks with an eyewitness. He also points out that the appearance of the Mothman isn't the only incident of high strangeness reported in the small town.

Russian U S And Other Scientists From Around The World Gather To Seek The Elusive Yeti
YETI/BIGFOOT AND UFOS. In the function of IS THE CONNECTION?

Pressing out by SW/LITS.

Scientists from a spell out of countries (Russia, the U.S., Canada, Sweden, Estonia, Mongolia and China doll), leave conference this week (Thursday - Saturday), to look at the existence of the magical creatures shared as the Abominable snowman.

From this conference, a squad of scientist leave be sent out to run through the Kemerovo and bordering Altai region, about 1,988 miles (3,200 kilometers) east of Moscow, in search of the indescribable "ape-man".

The scientists leave evaluate evidence of the existence of the creatures, such as distorted branches, route of up to 14 inches (35 centimeters) and direct unchanged offshoot huts. Track leave moreover declare apiece acoustic recordings and photographs and it is direct superficial by airless stake wardens, that evidence was obtained by a motion-triggered camera in a rut 50 miles from Tashtagol.

Nevertheless offer had been a by a long way less important assault in September, this new assault leave be the first of its kind starting 1958, while scientists from the Soviet Academe of Sciences searched Western Siberia, in an step to narrow a Abominable snowman.

Igor Burtsev, head of the Moscow-based Worldwide Sordid of Hominology, recently whispered, "At the same time as Homo sapiens started populating the world, it unkindly exterminated its nearby next of kin in the hominid boarding house, Homo neanderthalensis. Quite a few of the Neanderthals, all the same, may attach survived to this day in definite mountainous forested habitats that are greater or under off grounds to their arch foes."

Guts these scientists discover dull proof of the existence of the Yeti? I plan them likelihood, as it seems researchers indoors in our own urge factory can't appear to discover proof of the existence of our own Bigfoot (next of kin of the Yeti?), or proof won over evidence of Space invader visits from superficial space.

If the scientists and researchers do discover proof of Abominable snowman, Bigfoot, aliens, or any of the numerous other cryptids get indoors on our own planet, how is that going to aftershock our lives? Are they all together in definite way? I'm left to wonder... and so are numerous others.

Plesiosaurian Ss Models Check
Since Scott Mardis was doing his comparisons with Plesiosaurs on Loch Ness Monsters and Lake Champlain Champs, I decided to do a few of the same with the Plesiosaurian Sea serpent Sighting sketch by L.S. Larkin from Ivan Sanderson's files to some of the standard sea-serpent sightings composites.

Oudemans' model from The Great Sea Serpent, 1892

The comparison to Oudemans' Sea Serpent from above and then a comparison to Sanderson's model in profile. Unfortunately, Sanderson does not provide a view from above for his composite. Except for the great length of tail allowed by Oudemans, the relative lengths of the head and neck, body and tail are all in the same general comparative proportions. The real differences are in the size and placement of the flippers and in the width of the body. Larkin seems to have exaggerated the relative widths of the neck and back to something approaching caricature. Below is the comparison to my composite model (Final composite, all Longneck sightings worldwide, final average statistics)

My composite has been run on this blog before, This time I chose to darken it in, but it seems to have made a problem with the photoshop. Nonetheless the results are similar: longitudinal measures are similar but Larkin has exaggerated his relative widths, and there is an ambiguity about the size and the placement of the limbs. Larkin says he had trouble making the limbs out because of the movement in the water. And because we have made note of another couple of particularly Plesiosaur-shaped Sea Serpents on this blog before, I reproduces them below for further comparison.

The Alvin (Submarine) one below differs somewhat in having a larger head and longer tail than usual, but these might only be false impressions due to poor viewing conditions. I do have one report of what sounds like a legitimate Plesiosaur-Sea-serpent corpse washed ashore and which was reported to me personally, and the witness said it looked like The Alvin Plesiosaur (Charles Berlitz got duplicate documents as stated on my copies)

Bigfoot Cousins Claimed In Many Countries
Taking into consideration Benjamin Radford is a cynic, he orthodox has a top ten list "Why Bigfoot is Litter" we fall victim to it naughtily obedient of him to give away us including a cursory marking out of the essence Bigfoot variants on all sides the world. If you only prefer to get an sight of these variants in a illustrative geographic context way the connotation to the AKA Bigfoot Globe Map.

Bigfoot Cousins Claimed in Countless Countries

A group of Chinese researchers has announced that they are mounting an hound to scout about evidence of the yeren, the Chinese reproduction of Bigfoot. Put forward chomp been other searches for the yeren in decades afar, all question to fall victim to solution evidence of its existence. The working group, led by a man named Luo Baosheng, is hoping to increase 1.5 million to pitch the search.

Point in time Bigfoot is by far the best-known of incomprehensible bipedal creatures whispered to put off the world's wasteland, it is far from the a minute ago one. Countless countries and cultures chomp stories of unshorn, feral man-like creatures.

Canada's Abominable snowman

The Canadian Abominable snowman is in principal the especially moral fiber as the American Bigfoot, though it is claimed to be primarily night and a speedily runner. One say it steals supplies and abducts women - and men: A logger named Albert Ostman claimed that in 1924 having the status of camping in British Columbia he was kidnapped by a Bigfoot forebears and supposed for gruffly a week. Ostman suspected that he had been captured as a engine capacity courtesy buddy for the simple feminine Abominable snowman of the forebears, but in he could do the filthy rotation he escape as soon as the male expert choked on Ostman's snuff tobacco. Unjustifiable to say, Ostman free no evidence of his conditions.

Nepal's Abominable snowman

The Abominable snowman, foremost in the public domain as the Repulsive Snowman, is whispered to live in the forest in the Himalaya Mountains' flurry line, though its tracks are erratically found in flurry. It is whispered to be intense, lined including ominous besmirched or red cascade, and tally along with 200 and 400 pounds (90 to 180 kilograms). The Abominable snowman is more readily pinch compared including Bigfoot, averaging about 6 feet (1.8 meters) in epitome. Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to regard Everest, found no evidence of the moral fiber. Hiker Reinhold Messner, who passed out months in Nepal and Tibet researching the Abominable snowman found that breathtaking occupant bears were fallacious for Abominable snowman sightings and tracks. The Abominable snowman finished news in 2007 as soon as Not be serious Gates, countless of the TV series "Destination Motto," claimed that he found breathtaking, incomprehensible track that press be from the Abominable snowman. Not considering sustained media current symbols on top was educated about the tracks; they are now on spectacle at Disney Globe.

Australia's Yowie

Yowie, the wildman from Fluff Asleep, reportedly stands someplace from 5 to 11 feet (1.5 to 3.4 meters) tall, and has fair or red eyes stanchly set filling a dome-shaped head. Yowies are whispered to chomp tan, black, drained of color, or drawn cascade cover black skim, including arms so desire they gruffly sensation the ground. According to George Eberhart's address list "Magical Creatures" (ABC-CLIO, 2002), the phone up Yowie comes from the Home-grown dress up "yuwi," which means "be attracted to divinity."

Indonesia's Orang Pendek

According to "The Arena Attendant to Bigfoot, Abominable snowman, and Faraway Furtive Primates Worldwide" (Avon Books, 1999), "The inhabitants of Sumatra chomp desire supposed in the orang-pendek, which means minute man.' The orang-pendek seems to chomp a breathtaking pot tummy and may be ominous drained of color, ominous black, fair, or tan in color." It is overly whispered to chomp very desire head cascade, and stand someplace from 2.5 to 5 feet (0.8 to 1.5 m) tall. One of the first perceived sightings of the orang pendek occurred in 1923, as soon as a Dutch migrant in Sumatra saw one in a tree; though he was organized he refused to get a fright it, in the role of it resembled a human.

On the other hand most of these creatures division reminiscent of facade, represent is on top contrast concerning the types than along with them. The other thing they all chomp in communal is a lack of shoddily evidence for their existence. Almost certainly the new Chinese hound for the yeren tendency take real fight, but if history is any design the search tendency true be every inflexible and lazy.

Sea Serpent In New Jersey
BASS RIVER TOWNSHIP, NJ, HISTORY...ETC.

"The following 1840 account, vouched for by William McCarty, a respected businessman of that era, has me wondering if there is some truth behind the old accounts of sea serpents in our area. William McCarty is clearly no crank. He built the iron making town of McCartyville just up the road a piece from New Gretna. After he went bankrupt, McCartyville became the paper town called Harrisville. Today, many local residents swim at Harrisville Lake where the ruins of the old Harrisville paper mill can still be seen."

http://bassriverhistory.blogspot.com/2012/03/sea-serpents-revisited.html [The above story posted on the local-History blog also linked to the next story. The next story was freshly priunted when I went in to the SITU Libraries in the 1970s: the SITU was in New jersey, and the news was both (by date of publication) fresh and of local interest then.-DD] http://bassriverhistory.blogspot.com/2011/07/rube-corlies-and-lock-ness-monster.html LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT IF I WANTED TO SEE A SEA MONSTER, I SHOULD HAVE SET MY SIGHTS TOWARD THE ATLANTIC OCEAN JUST OFF SURF CITY. IT SEEMS THAT RUBE CORLIES AND HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW, JONN INMAN, SPOTTED ONE WHILE FISHING FOR MENHADEN.

Rube Corlies in his yard in Manahawkin WATCH OUT FOR SEA SERPENTSIt doesn't happen very often. But every now and then people do run into sea monsters. They say one was sighted off Gloucester, Mass., in 1819. Another startled three fishermen near Kennebunk, Maine in 1830. And, of course, the monster of Loch Ness pops up from time to time. But did you know that one was seen off Long Beach Island ln 1906?A great snake rose out of the water early one July morning just off Surf City and appeared to eight men who had been fishing. Here's the story as told by Rube Corlies of Manahawkin. Corlies, a frail but Spunky 88 year old man, is the last survivor of the serpent sighting, "My brother-in-law John Inman and I had been catching mossbunkers using a 40-fathom net a couple of hundred yards off the beach. While we were hauling in the net, he remarked that the fish were behaving in a funny way- swimming crazily as if something was chasing them."Suddenly a great snake reared up about 15 to 20 feet out of the water maybe 30 or 40 feet from the stern of our boat. The animal was black on the back and had a lot of flabby white flesh on its belly. The mouth was about four feet wide and its nose was just like a snake's. He was slick as an eel and I couldn't see any scales or fins."We couldn't believe our eyes - there it was and there we were. lt seemed to stand straight up with its great black eyes turned toward us."Inman threw the net overboard and they started to row. The serpent sank back to the surface of the water."It started to come right at us, but it must have gotten all tangled up in our net - we found a huge hole in it later. As it swam past us on the surface it must have been about 60 feet long - not counting the tail and 6 feet wide."Men in three other fishing boats which were in the area saw that Corlies seemed to be in trouble and began to row toward him and as they did, the serpent surfaced again about a half mile away. This time it locked like a large tree trunk standing about 10 feet tall. Then it disappeared for good. And has never been seen again. Some people think Rube Corlies was dreaming that day back in 1906. Others wonder it he might have been drinking. But according to Corlies he had not had a drop ("Although if I had known what I was going to see that day, I might have drunk a bottle.") and he is certain of what he saw. "It was a giant sea snake and it must have been feeding on the mossbunkers."He goes on to say that he thinks the serpent may have come in shore because of a ship that had wrecked in 1900 on Long Beach Island. The ship had been carrying animal bones and when it was broke up the bones formed a slick which on certain tides extended out to sea. Corlies thinks this slick might have lured the fish which in turn lured the serpent."Anyway I know what I saw and that's all there ls to it. That big snake may still be out there some place. It was two weeks later because our nets looked like something very large had torn them."Would he like to see the monster again?"No," says Corlies with a mischievous grin, "but I was always disappointed I didn't see one other creature.I've anchored alongside whales and seen the serpent, but I never saw a mermaid. I guess they knew when l was coming out and they'd disappear."Well, you can't have everything. The Southern Ocean County Reporter - June 30, 1971

* July 31, 2011 at 9:16 PMMy name is Doug Lynch, and Rube Corlies was my Great-Great Uncle. When I was a youngster of around 6 or 7 years old, I remember Uncle Rube relating the sea serpent story to my brother and I many times while he taught us how to carve duck decoys in his old workshop on Stafford Avenue in Manahawkin. The one thing I can add that isn't mentioned in your article is that Uncle Rube said the serpent had eyes as big as "dinner plates". He was well known for being quite the storyteller. But it was also well known back in the day that my Great Grandfather, John Inman (who was with Rube at the time of the sighting), was "as honest as the day is long". He didn't drink or make up stories. Because of that, the sea serpent story was always believed to be true by the older members of my family. That's just my two cents, thanks for listening....

The size of the creature was no doubt exaggerated and the description had details that were traditional and probably legendary ("Eyes the size of dinner plates") Still it was a pretty obvious Longneck that had its head stuck "way" up when it surfaced. The colour of "Black" is not usually a precise description of colour and ordinarily comes from seeing the object on the shadow side. One interesting detail is that the front of the throat is all loose and flabby flesh (noted elsewhere before) The nose and the mouth was just like a snakes, and this is one case where the mouth split the head in half and the mouth was at full gape out of surprise or fear. The estimate of the mouth being open four feet wide (Top to bottom jaw at full gape) is close to what some of the officers claimed aboard the Daedalus when the rumours were circulating it opened its mouth six feet wide. This detail did not make it into the published newspaper accounts, but it is echoed elsewhere. Plesiosaurs did indeed have mouths which could open very wide in relation to the size of the head and this would resemble the open mouth of a snake, probably for a threat: a standard Longneck 40 feet long could probably open its mouth 4 feet wide up and down. The inside of the mouth is said to be bright red, enhancing the threat value (Also noticed at Loch Ness ) -DD

The Emu Not Only One Sea Serpent Carcass Case
http://www.strangemag.com/seaserpgallery.html

THE SUWARROW ISLAND SEA SERPENT CARCASS

When the English trading steamer "Emu "was at Suwarrow Island (a Pacific sea island near Samoa) on her way to Sydney, Australia, they were told by natives that a huge "devil fish" had been beached. Mr. A. H. Bell, of the "Emu, "told of their search for the carcass, and of its horrible odor. "We secured as much of it as we could, and we have now on board the first sea serpent ever brought to Australia or anywhere else," Bell announced modestly. The "Emu "arrived in Sydney with a part of the creature. The monster was covered with hair and was brownish. According to the captain, the head was like that of a horse. He estimated the weight to be seventy tons and guessed that the creature was 60 ft. long. The skull alone was three feet long. "The English Mechanic", (No. 69, April 7, 1899, p. 17) noted that, "there was evidence of two tusks at the extremity of the lower jaw, and the natives said the monster had flappers like a seal when it was originally washed ashore." A scientist at the Australian Museum determined that the monster was actually a badly decomposed beaked whale. This would account for the two "tusks." A decomposed beaked whale is a monstrous thing, and resembles no earthly animal.

The following is from a microfilm of a newspaper account of the find, unfortunately not very legible in part. The originating site prints a copy.

THE SEA SERPENT.

FOUND AT LAST. BROUGHT TO SYDNEY.[Bv Elootrie Telegraph.]SYDNEY. February 22 1899.At last a sea serpent has been actually discovered and brought within range of scientific examination. The officers of the island steamer "Emu" have gained the credit for achieving this notable result. The vessel reached Sydney to-night-. Captain Oliver called at Suwerro on his way back, and the natives casually stated that a. big devil-devil from the sea came ashore two months before. The officers of the Emu went along (he beach, where they saw the gigantic monster. The stench was horrible, but the extraordinary appearance of the monster determined them to bring the remains to Sydney, thus securing the first sea serpent. The two heads, two backbones, and part of the ribs were all gathered. It is intended to present the skeleton to the Sydney Museum. Captain Oliver's account of the monster is that it has one body, but a double spine. It has two distinct heads; and a hide of a brownish colour covered with hair. The heads are somewhat like horses' heads. The length of the monster is fully 60 ft, and its approximate weight is seventy.tons. The visitors to the "Emu" to-day say the stench from the hold was [horrible]SYDNEY. February 23. The announcement of the discovery of the sea serpent has caused a great deal of interest Only a small portion of the skeleton was brought over to Sydney. It is intended OQ the next trip of the "Emu" to recover the whole of the bones. SO IT SEEMS THAT A NUMBER OF SMALLER BEAKED WHALES RAN AGROUND ON SUWARROW ISLAND IN POSSIBLY LATE 1898, A MASS STRANDING, AND THE NATIVES REPORTED IT AS IF IT HAD BEEN ONE ANIMAL. THE CAPTAIN ESTIMATED THE BIOMASS AS HAVING BEEN SEVENTY TONS IN LIFE, WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN SEVERAL BEAKED WHALES TOGETHER, THE BIGGEST MALE AMONG THEM PROBABLY 35-40 FEET LONG WITH A 3 FOOT LONG SKULL, AND PROBABLY WEIGHING 15 TONS. USUALLY THE SMALL POD OF CLOSE-KNIT WHALES TOGETHER IS INTERPRETED AS A "MANY-FINNED" SEA-SERPENT AND SIGHTINGS OF THE GROUP OF WHALES IN THE WATER PROBABLY AIDED IN GIVING THE NATIVES THE IMPRESSION THERE WAS ONLY ONE LARGE "DEVIL-DEVIL"

"Poonah Many-Finned Sea-Serpent"

THE GENUINELY BIZARRE FEATURE IS THAT NOT ONLY WERE THE NATIVES STILL CONVINCED IT WAS ONLY ONE ANIMAL AFTER IT WASHED ASHORE, THEY WERE ABLE TO KEEP THE CAPTAIN AND CREW OF THE "EMU" CONVINCED OF THAT AS WELL, EVEN WHEN THEY BEGAN TO COLLECT MULTIPLE SKULLS AND SPINAL COLUMNS. THE ADVANCED STATE OF DECAY (WHICH PRODUCED THE "COCONUT HAIR" APPEARANCE FROM FRAYED SKIN AND MUSCLE FIBERS) PROBABLY MADE THAT SOMEHOW EASIER TO SWALLOW. THE KIND OF BEAKED WHALE WAS ONLY RECOGNIZED AS A SPECIES SHORTLY BEFORE AND THEREFORE THE CAPTAIN WAS ALMOST CORRECT IN HIS GUESS IT WAS AN UNKNOWN ANIMAL. BUT THE IDEA THAT SEVERAL SMALLER WHALE CARCASSES TOGETHER MADE UP ONE MONSTER CARCASS IS A FUNDAMENTAL ERROR IN JUDGEMENT THAT SEEMS DIFFICULT TO CREDIT.

Scientists 95 Sure Bigfoot Lives In Russia

Azassky Cave

The vast Siberian tundra holds untold mysteries, from once-secret nuclear installations to alleged UFO crash sites.

Now, a team of scientists say they are "95%" sure that Russia's wintry expanse is home to the mythical yeti, otherwise known as the abominable snowman.

More than a dozen scientists and yeti enthusiasts flew in from Canada, Estonia, Sweden and the US to exchange findings with their Russian counterparts at a day-long conference in the town of Tashtagol, some 2,000 miles east of Moscow in the Kemerovo region. Locals there have reported an increase in sightings of a creature in recent years.

A two-day expedition to the region's Azassky cave and Karatag peak over the weekend "collected irrefutable evidence" of the yeti's existence there, the Kemerovo government claimed in a statement. "In one of the detected tracks, Russian scientist Anatoly Fokin noted several hairs that might belong to the yeti," it added. Scientists also found footprints, a presumed bed and various other markers.

"Conference participants came to the conclusion that the artefacts found give 95% evidence of the habitation of the 'snow man' on Kemerovo region territory," the statement said.

"I know they exist - I see them every day," a conference participant, Robin Lynn, said by telephone from Kemerovo. She says she has a family of 10 yeti-like creatures living on her land in the US state of Michigan.

Evidence of yeti life of the creature has allegedly been found in the Himalayas and North America, where it is know as sasquatch, or bigfoot. John Binderangel, a Canadian wildlife biologist who has been studying the yeti for 30 years, said the Siberian expedition offered further proof of the beast's existence.

"We were shown some twisted willow branches that are referred to as markers - they were convincing evidence of this hominoid," he said. "There were also some tracks, but we're not quite sure what to make of them." Conference participants called for the launch of a campaign to "work out a more serious relationship [to the yeti] in society and mass media", the Kemerovo government said. They also proposed opening a university research centre.

The Kemerovo government has hosted a number of stunts aimed at boosting the region's reputation as a yeti centre.

Last month, it welcomed former heavyweight boxing champion Nikolai Valuev on a search for the yeti. The 7ft "beast from the east" reportedly failed in his quest.

Cryptozoology Big Foot
CRYPTOZOOLOGY : BIG Improper
Bigfoot, to boot personal as Yeti or Chiye-tanka (which means "Big Important Brother" in Lakota), is one of the most famous mythology creatures today. The Bigfoot is assumed to live in the forests of the Associate States and Canada. Hearsay Bigfoot sightings are common, and the story of Bigfoot is a established quarter for movies and TV shows, such as the established show Harry and the Hendersons. The "Continuous" BigfootAt the same time as real Bigfoot pictures look after to be indistinct and indefinable, the "real" Bigfoot is assumed to be over seven feet tall, weighing over 500 pounds, overly flourishing and able to walk on its two thorn feet. In pictures, Bigfoot is particularly featured as an overgrown primate, among a secretive indirect crest and very time noticeable collar. The outline Bigfoot, of course, comes from the reportedly awful foster of the creature's feet and the sounds that Bigfoot makes once upon a time it walks. From the time when Bigfoot sightings, Yeti encounters and other encounters among the Chiye-tanka stomach been reported all over the U.S. and Canada, they first and foremost initiate in the Northeastern forests of the U.S. Hearsay stomach included sightings and reports of sounds the Bigfoot makes.According to enthusiasts, Bigfoot is in theory a family member of other creatures various the world, such as the Yeren of Chinaware and the Yeti of Tibet and Nepal. The photo was discredited once upon a time the Pennsylvania Harmonize Job noted that the photo proper looked since a provision among a bad case of mange. The Science Late at night the BuzzThe give the once over of Bigfoot is share out of a fat paranormal come down like a ton of bricks on personal as cryptozoology. Cryptozoology is the give the once over of plants that stomach yet to be acknowledged to exist.Scientist Grover Krantz has a theory that Bigfoot is all that mortar of a bipedal descendants personal by the accurate outline of Gigantopithecus blacki. Krantrz based his idea on fossil studies of the jaw boons of Gigantopithecus blacki.Gigantopithecus blacki roamed the wasteland of what would one day change Chinaware. Bourne intended that the unique migrated to the Americas by way of the Bering Concentrate, eventually proper what we now work out as Bigfoot. This theory is become quiet far off under debate, largely in the past represent has never been a fossil found confirming the existence of Bigfoot.Normal scientists say that the account of Bigfoot persists in view of the fact that humans necessitate to contain in other beings that are fat and larger than rich than themselves. Whether this is unaffected or not, the channel of Yeti sightings and "real" Bigfoot photos makes it straighten that the account of Bigfoot won't end anytime immediately.

Does The Loch Ness Monster Really Exist
Nessie - Real or Not?

By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher. Professional Writer, a nature and wildlife enthusiast who has written for many magazines.

DOES THE LOCH NESS MONSTER REALLY EXIST?Extreme Monster Hunter, Adam Davies, Weighs InBy TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher

Most of us in the bigfoot world believe in the creature because there's enough evidence floating around out there to give us good reasons. Hundreds of researchers around North America and around the world are collecting evidence nearly every day, listening to hundreds of stories and filing reports. It's enough of a constant cycle of sightings and reports to at least give all of us reason to believe we need to examine the subject further.

Bigfoot gets a lot of attention because he's earned it. He keeps popping up in lots of places around the world and holding everyone's interest. But when you look at Facebook pages and websites dedicated to The Loch Ness Monster, there doesn't seem to be so much activity; one recent report and photo among a few other scattered sightings over the course of time. No volume even close to the number of bigfoot and yeti reports around the world.

So does The Loch Ness Monster, aka Nessie in Scotland warrant the same attention and emotional investment from researchers and locals there? Does it really exist? I just had to ask our favorite cryptid hunter, Adam Davies, the guy who's actually been there and done the work to look for Nessie and worked with National Geographic, Monster Quest, and Finding Bigfoot, what his thoughts are on the subject. He knows lake monsters exist. He's actually seen one. And even though it's a really hard thing in the cryptid world for a cryptid researcher to say he doesn't think a certain cryptid exists, Adam seemed pretty comfortable saying it's his opinion that Nessie doesn't exist, and he explains why:

"I know Lake Monsters exist.

Importantly, so do credible scientists.

In 1999, I was part of a team which used a hydrophone to prove the existence of Selma, the Norwegian version of Nessie.

You could clearly hear the animals seemingly communicating with one another. So convincing was it that it led the Marine Research Institute in Bergen to conclude we had found an unknown species. Importantly, I also saw it.

In Loch Ness a year later, I tried the same approach with the hydrophone. Simply put, apart from fish, there was nothing very interesting registering on our hydrophone.

What could it be in the Lake then? Well, to dismiss all the accounts as floating logs, wakes or just lies was incorrect in my opinion. I remember seeing a particularly persuasive account by a Monk who had certainly seen an animal in the water. He described its specific movement through the water. He had certainly seen an animal.

What could it be then? Fishermen at Foyers told me they had seen huge eels in the Loch. Large eels would explain the SHAPE of the animal many people were describing, I concluded. I was never a fan of the `sturgeon theory.`

I would be delighted to be proved wrong! If anyone does, I will join the queue to shake their hand. However, the only way I can see Nessie actually existing is if it is an infrequent visitor to the Loch."

But Adam certainly hasn't lost faith or the inspiration to keep searching for these types of

creatures, as he expressed further thoughts about that in his statement:

"Fascinatingly though, I heard on several occasions from locals about Loch Morar. One very well known Nessie skeptic suggested that I look there to see my second Lake Monster, as did locals. With its clear waters, and without the tourist focus of Loch Ness, it has a real appeal.

If there is a Lake Monster in Britain this is the best place to search.

I know Lake Monsters exist..."

So is it possible we all just caught a glimpse into where Adam's headed next? He

wouldn't say, so who knows? But Loch Morar, also in Scotland, may be the future hot spot to

watch for lake monsters. Stay tuned.

Bigfoot Yeti Or Sasquatch
BIGFOOT, YETI, OR SASQUATCH

BIGFOOT, YETI, OR SASQUATCH.

Most people have heard of BIGFOOT, also called, SASQUATCH OR YETI. These names are given to a creature who resembles a large ape and sighted in forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of North America.

Bigfoot is so called because of the huge footprints it leaves, which have been as big as 24 inches long and 8 inches wide. There have been casts made of the footprints with some showing that it has two toes and others indicating five toes.

People have mainly sighted bigfoot during the night-time, suggesting it is a nocturnal creature. Reports state that the creature stands at over 8 feet tall and looks to weigh 500 pounds or more.

Whether you believe this creature is fake or real, a group of people have dedicated their lives for the past five years, gathering evidence. Adrian Erickson started the group called, "The Erickson Project". Here is a video about this:

Alien As A Species Part 5 Bigfootyeti
Hmmn ! I can hear you thinking what has Bigfoot and Yeti got to do with Alien life forms and UFOs ? Well, maybe a lot more than you may have considered ! I watch a certain paradigm shift program with regularity and one of the reports tells of an old man from Durham in the North east of England who as a child came into contact with an Alien craft during the War. The gentleman in question was a child of about five or six years old and was playing with one of his friends and when walking down the street noticed two what he called Alien greys at either side of the road and ahead of them was a distorted area which when they walked into it, found themselves confronted by an UFO. The two young lads were taken inside of the craft and tests were done by Greys and a humanoid form, much like a human with long blonde hair and in this room stood a tall hairy beast that the old man described as looking like Bigfoot.I must tell you that I recently closed down another Paranormal website because of the type of people I was getting and the material that they wrote was unbelievable. Several so called Bigfoot investigators were contacted and I tried to get them to open up on the subject, one in particular spoke of how much time he had spent investigating Bigfoot yet when asked questions about his favourite subject he made excuses. I had received emails from one of these Bigfoot investigators who claimed to have seen UFOs as well as Bigfoot in wooded areas, he obviously thought the same as I do that they may not be an indigenous species.Trouble was, I couldn't get him to reveal enough on the findings he had claimed in order to paint a picture of what may be happening. Let's have a look at the Yeti, it was first seen many years ago in the Himalayas and Tibetan mountain areas. Bigfoot appeared in the northern areas of Canada and Alaska, one area is mostly barren and snow bound most of the time and the other is heavily wooded. Both areas would be good for keeping away from man since they were both away from the more normal working and living zones that man lived in and most likely never ventured. Over the years in America Bigfoot has been seen in lots of States and even claimed to have been seen in the Arizona Desert. Is this because there are more investigators ? there are huge numbers of so called Bigfoot investigators right across America and Canada. Are there really that many Bigfoot out there and if so why isn't there one piece of tangible proof, no bodies, no bones and when you ask one of them how come nothing is ever found, they answer bears go to die but we never find their skeletons ! Is all this Bigfoot hunting just Paranoia ? Or are there an increasing number of this species to be found in the good ole USA ? maybe, just maybe they are not an indigenous species.Perhaps they come with UFOs and other species and this is the reason nothing has ever been found no bones or bodies just damage to trees and markings left by this creature. Is Bigfoot/Yeti an Alien Species ? and if so are they a playmate or pet or the last of a dying line of creatures from another Planet ? what do you think.

One last thing, there won't be any more on this series about Alien Species as we could go on forever, the main thing to remember is that you need to have your head on straight when reading about so called Aliens that you read about or see videos of. Why ? because they aren't all real and there isn't one shred of evidence that can establish that there is actually any creature or Aliens at all. Everything on this subject and the opinions are of the writer myself and don't necessarily constitute the real truth, but then what is the truth ? If you hold some tangible evidence that points toward an Alien Civilisation or have a piece of a craft then let us know all about it.

The Bear Lake Monster
Every part of state has their dine of cryptozoological wonders and Utah is no discharge. Secluded from the high concern of Bigfoot sightings and other incongruous creatures, Utah next is set down to one of numerous acknowledged lake monsters that nation the world. The saline waters of the Area of high pressure Salty Pot are not friendly for such a special, nor are the trivial waters of Utah Pot. Utah's lake monster prefers the colder northern end of the state, preferring to settle in Transform Pot.Situated on the Idaho conjoin, Transform Pot has been a dominant leisure lake for generations. It did not copy fancy, still, for settlers in Utah to view seeing a incongruous special swimming, and persistent burgeoning, from Transform Pot. In 1868 inn presenter Joseph C. Soft reported on the sightings of the ambiguous monster in the lake. According to his report, the Transform Pot Rat was first spotted by the inn compete of Indigenous Americans. Ancient settlers who had seen the monster described it as being able to cylinder earlier than a horse can gallop. The monster was ballpark to be at smallest 90 feet fancy. Following eyewitnesses possess described the Transform Pot monster as looking either be attracted to a walrus in need the tusks or an alligator. The Transform Pot Rat has generated so knowingly edge in the fields of cryptozoology and folklore that Wild Planet featured the monster in their Misplaced Tapes series (video beneath). In the tape, one cryptozoologist postulates that the monster is a "survival" from dated times, by some means steadfast in the lake until our forward-looking day.Flex in the monster has so they say waxen a variety of to go with Transform Pot in request to well catch a notice of the monster. Record recorded sightings, still, take up locals. Specified of these eyewitnesses, still, possess seen the monster increase from the water to attack prey. The capacity to hurl the lake at smallest for the time being very makes the Transform Pot Rat separate from the droves of other lake monsters in the world. These land sightings of the monster possess fueled theories that it is a variety of sort of dated alligator or a dinosaur.Similarity all cryptids, dowry are skeptics who suspicion the existence of such a special. The construct of Transform Pot has been argued to be too teensy to imprison such a enormous special. Others possess wondered why no cobblestone evidence has been captured that shows persistent the program of such a special residing in Transform Pot. Flush, the sightings possess continued, persistent in recent years. At any rate the oath risk lurking underside the come to an end of Transform Pot, in the summer plenty of people are on the lake waterskiing and swimming. The elementary article can be found there.

More Comparisons Of Longnecked Seaserpent Models
The standard Heuvelmans model Longneck is above. However, on the internet you will find such alternatives as the one directly below, which seems to have been influenced by some conceptions representing the Loch Ness Monster as "Nessiteras Rhombopteryx" http://newpagebooks.blogspot.com/2013/07/creature-of-month-sinuous-sea-serpent.html " Here are the categories of Sea-Serpents proposed by Heuvelmans, incorporating some more recent analyses by Loren Coleman, Patrick Huyghe, and Bruce Champagne. My illustrations are based on those of Heuvelmans:

"1. LONG-NECKED or "Megalotaria longicollis" ("giant sea lion with a long neck")-A 15- to 65-foot-long, plesiosaur-like creature with a long neck, several humps, and the ability to move in vertical undulations. The head has a distinctive horse-like or "cameloid" appearance, and hair and whiskers have been reported. Believed to be a long-necked, short-tailed sea lion. Seen worldwide, with 82 reported sightings." The head on this representation is way too small, but enlarging the head results in a decent depiction for the Hoy Island/Mackintosh Bell 1918 Sea serpent category and this is the one I was willing to allow to retain the name of Megalotaria because the basic concept and appearance for Heuvelmans' category is based on this type. 15 feet would be the normal adult size for the creature and not a minimum: a Scientific description exists for a 7 foot long pup and the biggest adult male should not be more than three times the length of the pup (Which Heuvelmans states himself in connection to the Hoy SS sighting. that would be just over 20 feet or a little under 7 meters)

Once again the given proportions for the 1918 Hoy SS are that the neck is about half the length of the body, about as long as the body is thick, and about a quarter as thick as it is long (Presumably near the base).

The reconstruction can be made to approximate a more typical Longneck if we move the illustrated portion ahead and allow a length of the neck is in the water and not showing because it is submerged. Several models for the Loch Ness Monster assume a shorter neck and estimates range from 1/4 of the whole length down to 1/6 or less: and Oudemans made the head and neck out as 1/5 of the length. these shorter estimates would all stem from observations of only "part" of the neck showing.

Dragging out the rear flipper as representing sightings that allege a tail does yield a real tail of appreciable size. Approximately 1/10 of Longneck reports at Loch Ness and at sea specify the tail

Below are Tim Morris' representations of the Longnecks as categorized by Heuvelmans and Bruce Champagne. The latter system contains two Long-necked subtypes, and both of them have tails.

http://cameronmccormick.blogspot.com/2008/01/unknown-sea-serpent-classification.htmlLord Geekington summarises the two Long-necked subtypes out of the Champagne system as follows:Type 1: "Long-necked"

These are reports that, of course, are of long necked animals. Confusingly, other types have this characteristic (3, 4B), but presumably other characters took precedence. This type is somewhat comparable to the long-necked/merhorse/super-otter classification of Heuvelmans and the "waterhorse" category of Coleman and Huyghe. Unlike previous authors, it has been divided into two sub-types.

Type 1A:

This "long necked" is primarily distinguished by a head of the same or slightly smaller diameter than the neck. Type 1As are reported worldwide, but appear most in boreal climate zones. They aren't even limited to salt water and have apparently been sighted several kilometers inland in fresh water, possibly to breed. Champagne also suggests that this type is a pinniped and a relatively large one at 2.5-12 (9 avg) meters in reported length [=8.5 (!) to 40 feet long, 30 feet average. I am comfortable with the 30-40 foot usual adult size range.-DD]. Given peoples' tendency to exaggerate, I'd suggest that this type could fall within the mass range of pinnipeds [calculating the mass by given volume, it essentially is just about the same mass as an elephant seal-DD]. The proposition of a long necked and tailed pinniped raises a lot of questions. Pinniped necks actually aren't longer than a dog's ('cept Acrophoca see Darren of course [ERROR!Acrophoca's neck is NOT longer than a sea lion's]) and tend to be immensely thick to boot. Pinnipeds have very short tails, and [Heuvelmans, Costello and] the Coleman/Huyghe book suggested that reports of a long tail are due to the rear limbs. The superficial plesiosaur or elasmosaur-like body coupled with a pinniped-style flexible neck makes this type quite unique and would presumably indicate an unknown niche. The idea of a pinniped being fully adapted to a marine life and taking on a new form doesn't seem too outlandish, and at least this type resembles common sightings. The lack of resemblance to anything in the fossil record is still a major problem of course.[The obvious resemblance to Plesiosaurs suggests a different interpretation to Karl Shuker and to most observers, ie, that it actually IS a Plesiosaur. The supposed problem with the neck flexibility is more of a problem with Elasmosaurs in particular rather than all Plesiosaurs in general-DD]

Type 1B:

This "type" is only known from 5 sightings in the North Atlantic and is distinguished by a head larger in diameter than the neck. It is supposedly much larger (17 meters+/ over 55 feet, or the "Average length of 60 feet" given by Heuvelmans-DD]) than the 1A and displays more "primitive" characteristics and different behaviors (frequently associates with cetaceans, etc). Oh, these illustrations are ones that I did a while back, so you'll see I chose to portray it as a more robust "1A" type animal as opposed to another lineage of long-necked creature. Limbs were never observed and only inferred to exist by presumed relations. The proposed anatomy of this type is even stranger than the 1A, and I don't know what to think of a massive head on a long neck. Judging by the lack of sightings or apparently much detail, I'm suggesting that future analyses will probably just absorb these sightings into the "1A" or maybe "type 3" classification. Ah, to lump or to split, the eternal question. [I reviewed the cases of Longnecks associated with Cetaceans in an earlier blog, I saw no difference in head size from the common Longnecks and no differences from the more common Longneck sightings, period.-DD]Below once again is the very useful comparison chart made by Tim Morris which contains the images excerpted above:

In a different matter,While discussing the Marine Saurian of Heuvelmans with Jay Cooney, I mentioned that some of the "Many Humped" creatures could have been in that category since the "humps" were being produced by the wake and not a permanent feature of the anatomy. I then suggested that some of the Massachussets bay sea serpents (some of them were "Alligator-headed*) and Scandinavian "Super-otters" could have been the larger kind of Marine Sauran, the Whale-Eater, and that some reports with very large humps in a row could be such creatures stalking small pods of large whales. This would be why the Coleman/Huyghe Classic Sea Serpent resembles a "Marine Saurian" in design.

"CLASSIC SEA SERPENT: A quadrupedal, elongated animal with the appearance of many humps when swimming. Essentially a composite of the many humped, super otter, and super eels types." In my statistical analysis of Sea Serpent reports (edition sent in to the SITU in 1980), I did make mention of the fact that suspected reports of zueglodonts. Mosasaurs and Giant eels tended to fall together statistically and were different to sort out from internal criteria. (* footnote: Heuvelmans refers to a series of "Alligator headed" Sea Serpent reports from the area of Nantucket in the 1960s as being "Typical": he has qualms about one of the reports stating it had a long neck and he assume that somehow a reported neck 2'6" long became reported as 26 feet long. This is the "Noreen" sighting. I had not noticed before but a head and neck length of 25 feet for the whale-eater Marine saurian is "absolutely typical!" -In the Wake of the Sea Serpents, page 527)
