"Is this real or a bizarre dream? I'm in hostel in Vilnius, Lithuania, writing a one-page autobiography for the Turkish edition of my collected essays. We're talking about an actual physical printed book containing some of my essays and book chapters translated into Turkish. This would be my first ever published book! Apparently, the translation is complete on the "first" book and publication is moving forward. The publisher in Istanbul has asked me to provide a biography, so this is what I've come up with..."Glenn Campbell is best known in the United States as an expert on Area 51, a secret military base in Nevada rumored to hold alien spacecraft. In 1993, having had some financial success in the software business, Campbell moved to a tiny desert town just outside the base to determine if the UFO rumors were true. To him, it was an intellectual challenge: to dive into a chaotic sea of fantastic claims and try to make sense of them. He became less a UFO researcher and more a curator of known information about the base. His sensible, factual approach to the base drew the attention of journalists and TV shows and helped make Area 51 a popular topic in the mid-1990s.Does he believe in UFOs? Campell's answer is typically pragmatic. He says he neither believes nor disbelieves. He believes only that UFOs are irrelevant to our life on Earth. Whoever the aliens may be, they are obviously keeping a low profile and not interfering overtly in our affairs, which is all we can ask of foreign visitors.As the new century approached, Campbell grew weary of Area 51 and the constant media pressure to provide UFO evidence that wasn't there. That adventure blew up dramatically in 2003, leaving him with a new set of life lessons. Unintentionally, he became involved in Family Court in Las Vegas, the place where divorce, juvenile delinquency and child welfare cases were resolved in America's most hedonistic city. For two years after his own divorce was settled, he studied the court system for his own amusement. He felt that this should be the "new Area 51", the place people should focus their attention if they want the real secrets of the universe. You don't understand love until you see how love breaks down. Unfortunately, he had much less success attracting the media than he did at Area 51. They wanted UFOs, not messy human dramas.This is when Campbell began to write about more universal topics. His philosophy was formed within him, and he needed to get it out. He tried writing books, but there seemed to be little commercial market for what he had to say. Eventually he shifted his attention to short essays that he could complete in a day. He would wake up with an essay idea and complete it by noon. 2006-2008 was an especially productive period when he wrote most of the works found in this book.Today, Campbell travels continuously and is highly active on social media. Yet the object continued to approach and the witness was sure he was going to hit it. Then suddenly as the object was only a meter away from his car it stopped and vanished abruptly. Astonished the observer got out of his car to see if he could find some traces of the object, but he could not find anything.The 'cosmic car' again vanished abruptly in plain sight of the witness, did it go back to its other-dimensional realm or was it suddenly 'teleported' back to its mothership? She was told by one of the men that someone called "The Cardinal" wanted to see her. She protested saying that she was not dressed for the occasion. One of the men then approached the wall, raised his hand and a slot opened, and inside was two coveralls; one was silver and the other lilac in color. She chose the lilac coverall and quickly put it on, she remember that the material was also very soft. An aperture then became visible in the room and a man wearing the same lilac colored coveralls appeared. He looked elderly with long silvery white hair. He said something like, "I am glad to meet you Tatiana". As she approached the stranger in order to greet him she suddenly blacked out. This scene faded and was replaced by a distant aerial view ofan earth-like surface. A planet or moon came up between two mountains in the distance.Following this he viewed a water covered surface from a lower altitude. Situated in themiddle of this surface was a huge dark cross-like area. Two man-like figures emerged fromthe center of this area and became luminous. They moved toward him as if they were on aconveyor belt, and steadily increased in size. The dark eyed figures were dressed in tight-fitting suits that had a cloak and sash tied in front. The on-coming figures seemed aboutto burst right out of his rear view mirror, and for the first time his intense desire to watchgave way to fear. At this moment he was released as his eyes dropped from the mirror andhe found himself looking at a slow moving Amish buggy as he sped down the highway. In reply to her own questions, the examiner said that she was notpermitted to touch them or to board one of their ships, but he promised that she would see a shipsubsequently; she was advised that she would suffer headaches for some weeks, which provedto be true; he also said that she would "not like to look upon their faces." They departed and shearrived home an hour and a half later than usual. The figures were 4-5 feet tall, with small heads intransparent helmets, through which she was able to see only "small, beady, very shiny eyes." Thespokesman had two stripes on the upper part of his arm; the other 3 had stripes that were longeron their sides, just above their waists. The leader had a buckle on his belt upon which was a wavyline. She was extremely upset by this encounter, and told only her husband, who gave details to theinvestigator. On the night following this encounter, the witness again experienced E-M effects in hercar as a large, disc shaped object with multi-colored lights descended; 3 landing legs extended fromthe bottom, which passed barely inches from the windshield of the car; an insignia was observed"resembling mathematical symbols." There was a car following me that appeared futuristic, with lifting body wings behind the passenger doors, that means small lifting surfaces. There were two passengers, looked like a man and a woman, the man wearing sunglasses. They followed me for a long way, 35-45 minutes, I kept staring at it,trying to figure out if it was an optical illusion from my mirrors seeing their mirrors, or if it was some new style of car. It reminded me of one of the Japanese or Korean makes, except for those wing like structures. I made some turn and lost them when I looked for the car after the turn.I have looked at vehicles following since and never seen that appearance of wing like things again, so I do not know if an illusion of small wings is something that can occur.I thought I would share that. Just a week after announcing intentions to build their own space station and leave the International Space Station in 2024 - with plans to try Mars again and send cosmonauts to the moon - Russian Space Agency officials are calling for the postponement of a heavy lift launch vehicle that would rival NASA's powerful Space Launch System (SLS) rocket. Recommendations announced Thursday - March 12, 2015 - call for reliance on the Angara family of launch vehicles, over 20 years in the making, with recently accomplished successful test flights. Russia's new plans are yet another change among launch providers in the space industry, an industry with numerous aged launched vehicles facing increasing competition.
The announced intentions for Angara by the Russian space agency follow numerous stories of leadership changes, changes to Russia's relationship with Ukrainian rocket suppliers, new mission plans and an austerity program to reduce costs under a limited government-sponsored budget.

Angara is a family of launch vehicles with design similar to American-made designs such as Atlas, Delta and Falcon. Like American vehicles, there is a core to the first stage of Angara, in this case burning RP-1 (kerosene) and liquid oxygen (LOX). Larger variants of the vehicle are built up by clustering additional first stage cores.
The latest test flight was of an Angara V in late 2014. The initial Angara V will be capable of launching 25 metric tons (55,000 lbs) of payload to low-Earth orbit. That's in contrast to SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket (13 metric tons or 29,000 lbs) and future Falcon Heavy rocket (53 metric tons or 117,000 lbs).
The Russian announcement focuses on postponing a heavy lift vehicle and intent to design a variant rocket called Angara A5V. The V stands for the Russian word for hydrogen, which is "vodorod." Engines based on hydrogen have a higher "specific impulse" than the commonly used RP-1 (kerosene), meaning they produce more thrust for the same weight of fuel. The hydrogen will fuel a more powerful upper stage for Angara V. According to the Russian officials, the A5V will be capable of launching payloads up to 35 metric tons (77,000 lbs), situating the Angara A5V between the Falcon 9 and Heavy. Such lift capability would have many possibilities such as sending cosmonauts to the moon, lifting modules to construct a future Russian space station or launching interplanetary probes.
The Russian super-rocket, meanwhile, never made it off the drawing board. It is now indefinitely postponed. Touted to be equal to the NASA SLS, the vehicle was considered too costly by the Russians for the limited funding of their program. A similar assertion continues to haunt NASA's SLS and could still cause its eventual cancellation.

Russia began its plan to develop Angara in 1992, a year after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Intentions were to replace numerous old launch systems, some dependent on Ukrainian suppliers. The presence of the SpaceX Falcon rocket likely made the decision more crucial. Russia had positioned itself as a low-cost launch provider, but is one now undermined by the low-cost Falcon. With development stalled many times over the span of 20 years, successful test flights of the Angara have now buoyed Russian hopes to modernize and become more competitive in the space launch industry.
News agencies reported the following statement from the Federal Space Agency Roscosmos scientific and technical council on Thursday, March 12:
We recommend that the Khrunichev space center (Angara-5 manufacturer) and the Energia space corporation develop a draft design of the Angara-A5V carrier rocket for possible use with prospective space freighters and manned spacecraft in future flights to the moon.
The statement was released following a meeting with officials from space firms on development of future launch systems.
While not a reusable vehicle, the Angara family of rockets could be cost-competitive with SpaceX's Falcon. Russian labor costs are half that of American-made manufacturers, and the Russian agency provided government support.
LAUNCH VEHICLE UPGRADES UNDERWAY ACROSS SPACE INDUSTRY
In the meantime, every major industry launch provider is actively planning upgrades to its launch systems, either complete replacements or substantial upgrades.
Last year, United Launch Alliance (ULA) - a corporation developed by Lockheed-Martin and Boeing to merge production and sales of their Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle - was rocked by Russian officials planning to end the supply of the famous Russian-made RD-180 rocket engine. The engine defines the 1st stage of the Atlas V rocket which the United States Defense Department and NASA also depend upon for military payload and robotic space probes launches. ULA has now announced the planned retirement of both the Delta family and the Atlas V.
Orbital ATK - recently created from the merger of Orbital Sciences with Alliant Techsystems Inc. (ATK) - saw its Antares rocket fail spectacularly seconds after lift-off on October 28, 2014 during a resupply mission to the International Space Station. It announced the replacement of Antares' first stage engine AJ26 with another Russian made engine - the Energomash RD-193 - which it considers more reliable.
In addition to changes at ULA and Orbital ATK, upstarts are also planning new entrants into the industry. Past Microsoft vice president James Allen is supporting the development of the largest airplane ever flown - Stratolauncher - which will piggyback a launch vehicle to deliver payloads to orbit and beyond. Virgin Galactic has a similar plan using White Knight Two to support launch of small-sat payloads up to 150 kg (400 lbs). And Jeff Bezos' Blue Origins is developing a rocket engine which is in competition with Aerojet to supply ULA's replacement of the Delta launch system.
Behind many of the on-going developments are the success of SpaceX's Falcon launch vehicle, designed for reuse, and the introduction of the Falcon Heavy, scheduled for a maiden launch from the historic and newly redesigned Cape Canaveral Pad 39A, which hosted launches of the Apollo Saturns to the moon and the Space Shuttle over a 30-year span.
Bottom line: On March 12, 2015, Russian Space Agency officials announced plans to postpone Russia's heavy lift launch vehicle and called for reliance on the Angara family of rockets. Just the mention of the name "Skinwalker Ranch" is enough to send chills down the spines of UFO and paranormal enthusiasts everywhere. So the question beckons can a movie detailing the location's strange occurrences do the same? THR is reporting that Utah-based production company Deep Studios will release Devin McGinn's supernatural thriller Skinwalker Ranch through its new domestic distribution arm both theatrically and on VOD on October 30th. According to local legend, Skinwalker Ranch, located in northeast Utah, is allegedly the site of unexplainable paranormal and UFO-related activities. In the film, which uses a found-footage style, a research team investigates the supernatural phenomena surrounding the disappearance of a cattle rancher's 10-year-old son. For those of you unfamiliar with how the Skinwalker Ranch became so infamous Claims about the ranch first appeared in the Salt Lake City, Utah, Deseret News and later in the alternative weekly Las Vegas Mercury as a series of articles by journalist George Knapp. Knapp and co-author Colm Kelleher subsequently authored a book in which they describe the ranch being acquired by the National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDSci) to study anecdotal sightings of UFOs, Bigfoot-like creatures, crop circles, glowing orbs, and poltergeist activity reported by its former owners. The ranch, located in west Uintah County bordering the Ute Indian Reservation, was popularly dubbed the "UFO ranch" due to its ostensible 50-year history of odd events said to have taken place there. According to Kelleher and Knapp, they saw or investigated evidence of close to 100 incidents that include vanishing and mutilated cattle, sightings of unidentified flying objects or orbs, large animals with piercing yellow eyes that they say were not injured when struck by bullets, and invisible objects emitting destructive magnetic fields. Among those involved were retired Army Colonel John B. Alexander, who characterized the NIDSci effort as an attempt to get hard data using a "standard scientific approach". However, the investigators admitted to "difficulty obtaining evidence consistent with scientific publication." Cattle mutilations have been part of the folklore of the surrounding area for decades, but NIDSci founder Robert Bigelow's purchase of the ranch and investigation funding were reportedly the result of his being convinced by stories of mutilations that included tales of strange lights and unusual impressions made in grass and soil told by the family of former ranch owner Terry Sherman.
