UFO SIGHTING IN NORTH CANAAN, CONNECTICUT ON FEBRUARY 7TH 1969 - 1969 ALL 4 OF US IN OUR CAR A UFO LESS THAN 500 YARDS AWAY AT ABOUT 500 FEET ABOVE GROUND HOVERING 45 SECONDSThe following is an interview with my mother,Nancy Gandolfo,relating to our whole family's (4 people in total)close up encounter with a UFO at approximately 7 pm back in February of 1969 in Northwestern,East Canaan Connecticut at our home in Litchfield County. My recollection of the event is as follows.We (my Mother,Father sister and myself)were heading North up our driveway in our car in East Canaan Connecticut at about 7 pm on February 7th 1969 we got about halfway up our drive when a bright multi colored object about 60 feet in diameter appeared in front of us at about 500 yards in front of our car we were facing in a North Direction still, it hovered at about 500 feet above ground for about 45 seconds above a tree line that was across Route 44 at the top of our driveway,the craft made a humming type of sound,then the craft elevated in a bright green flash and disappeared in a North Westerly direction,the night was very crisp,clear and very very cold and after the craft disappeared we agreed NOT to say anything about this event.The craft itself was greyish silver in appearance and resembled a child's antique spinning top,it was about 60 feet wide and about 20-40 feet tall,it had circular pulsating lights in the middle of the craft of colors blue,green,yellow,red and white,there were also small portal type windows above the circulating lights,the lights seemed to rotate in a clockwise motion then reverse direction to a counter clockwise motion that same year in September about 4 miles away in Ashley Falls Massachusetts in Berkshire County one of the world's most scrutinized and studied UFO abduction cases to date took place as well. My partner and I were outside on the front porch smoking, and I had dimmed all the lights in the house to skywatch, as there was a clearing in the sky after some of the heaviest rain I have seen in years. The air was very clean, with a few light clouds in spots. I was looking straight up when I saw a blue-white object streaking overhead, and passing beside the top of the 125 ft Douglas Fir in our front yard. I said "LOOK!", to my partner who saw it right away, too. All we could say to each other without taking our eyes off of it is "Oh my God, look how fast that thing is going!" Neither of us have ever seen anything that fast, other than a meteorite, and this was definitely not a meteor, and we just don't have anything capable of that speed. This object was on a steady path, had no flashing lights, and seemed to be lighted by its own power (rather than reflected sunlight). The SE to NW trajectory is one that we have never observed in a satellite, but this was no satellite. That speed would fling it into outer space. My partner and I agreed that it's speed was at least four times the speed of a satellite. It had to be travelling several thousands of miles per hour. In the check-box, for lack of better description, I checked 'star-like', but star-like is more a pinpoint of light, and this was larger than that, I want to say visually it had width as one would perceive when viewing a planet. It was blue-white, but more blue than white. Also, it was not extremely bright, yet was highly visible for the duration we were able to view it, and did not fade in brightness as it got farther away, though it appeared gradually smaller due to distance. From the second we saw it, it was 90 degrees overhead, and it was at 30 degrees from the horizon just a few seconds later, when we lost sight due to clouds low on the horizon. Both my partner and I are wondering what is going on in the Western Washington skies, as this is my 3rd sighting in as many weeks, and too many to count since the first of the year, several of which were shared sightings. I am an avid amateur astronomerof many decades and have no problem discerning satellites, jets, and the ISS from the phenomena we have witnessed and are reporting.

Alien Saucer Shot Down And Crashed In Russia

SEPTEMBER 6, 1989. ZAOSTROVKA RUSSIA

Well known Russian UFO investigator Nikolay Subbotin relates an amazing story of a battle of flying saucers. This incident allegedly took place in the skies of Zaostrovka, in Russia in 1989. On September 16, SIX CIRCULAR, SILVER, FLYING SAUCERS ganged up and fought a seventh, golden saucer, in full view of the residents of the town and surrounding areas. Hundreds of witnesses watched the gang of six chase the golden saucer out of a cloud bank. All of the saucers made unbelievable maneuvers during this dog fight, and at times, the UFOs flew as low as 5,000 feet. The weapon of choice was a strong beam of light or energy fired at and from the escaping golden UFO. According to the RUFORS Internet newsletter, an account of this event was published in the local newspaper, "Semipalatinsk." According to this report, written by a Russian helicopter commander in the Afghan war, the energy emitted during this battle shut down the local power grid in Zaostrovka, plunging the city into total darkness for a time. The author, named Sichenko, interviewed witnesses of the event, publishing many of their fantastic accounts of the events that day. The witnesses claimed that the outnumbered golden UFO finally was defeated, losing altitude due to the continued hits by the energy beams. The failing saucer at first seemed to be attempting to make a controlled landing, but eventually it lost control, disappearing from view behind a house as it plunged to the ground. The six assaulting saucers soon disappeared from view, heading into the clouds. Subbotin discovered that the LOST SAUCER HAD CRASHED into a bog on a military test range. This area was "off limits" to the general public. It would be about a year before he and accompanying researchers could reach the site of the crash, but by that time, the area was clean, free of any trace of a crashed vehicle. Subbotin would learn that a military team had descended on the boggy area, and conducted a full search and rescue operation. There were reported injuries during this operation. Russian Ufologist Emil Bachurin was able to see medical files which confirmed details of injuries to military personnel involved in the mission. It would be reported that several members of the search and rescue team had leaked information about the operation, but their breach of confidence was discovered, and security was made even tighter. Also, an airplane attempting to fly over the area and gather details about the crash had to abort its mission because of instrument malfunction. Eventually, all activities at the military range were shut down, and the base put under heavy guard. This case is very similar to another Russian case, the Shaitan Mazar Crash, which also involved Subbotin and Bachurin.
