All indications point to the likelihood that Ison failed to survive its close encounter with the sun and has instead broken up in to pieces.
Not all is necessarily lost however as there have since been signs that a piece of the comet may have survived. A single glowing chunk of Ison has been picked up by observatories and there is a chance that its tail could grow back. Due to the unpredictable nature of the comet however it is too early to tell exactly what will happen.
Even in the worst case scenario there is still a silver lining for scientists though, if Ison has indeed broken up then astronomers should still be able to benefit from having the rare opportunity to observe the comet's interior.

February, 2012 - Two separate reports of UFO sightings in Kansas City came in to us over the weekend. These reports were extremely unique as both reports came in around the same time and were reported within 1 square mile of each other. This time, the visitors were flying over the vicinity of Shawnee, Kansas, one spotted from a home near Shawnee Mission Medical Center, and another from a man playing golf at the Milburn Golf and Country Club.
UFO Sighting #1
This report came in at about 4:45pm on Friday night from a married couple who were working in their back yard in the vicinity of Old 56 Highway in Shawnee, Kansas, near the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. They reported sighting a fairly large craft approaching from the West. The craft was silver / blue in color and had three round lights on the front of it. Then, about 200 yards behind the first craft, another, smaller craft was spotted, following - or possibly "escorting" the larger craft. The second, smaller craft was a blueish silver in color as well and had what appeared to be lights all around the outer ring of the cylindrical vehicle. The smaller craft stayed exactly the same distance behind the large craft the entire time they were flying. The UFOs continued their path until suddenly making a sharp, 90 degree turn in mid air and flew due South at extreme speeds (approx 500 mph according to the witness) until they were out of sight. As the craft were approaching, before they flew away, the husband grabbed his cell phone and snapped the photos that we posted here. It was nearly dark outside so the photos are not clear, but you can see enough to know that these are no ordinary aircraft vehicles. The couple stayed outside for about another hour, watching the sky for a possible return, but no more UFOs were spotted.

This sighting came in around 4:50pm from a man who was finishing up a chilly round of golf at The Milburn Golf Course and Country Club just a few blocks from the sighting from the couple above. This man was walking up the 18th hole fairway towards his ball when he heard a strange "whirring" sound, "like a giant humming bird" as he described it. He looked up and saw a quickly approaching pair of strange aircraft that he described as silver in color, one vehicle was larger than the other and flew in front, the smaller craft flying in a sort of formation behind the large craft. This matched the other couple's sighting to a tee (pun slightly intended).
We have had reports come in of UFO sightings before that were in the same general area and around the same time from multiple people, but NEVER have we had two sightings that were this close to each other. I mean we're talking BLOCKS away from each other, and within about 5 minutes. These UFO sightings were significant as well because one man was quick enough to grab his cell phone and snap a photo. Here at Kansas City News, we foretold at the end of last fall that more and more UFO sightings were going to be captured due to the fact that everyone now has a camera on their cell phone, in their pocket, ready to snap a quick photo. The only drawback at this point is the quality of the photos from most cell phones are crappy at best. But we're sure that very soon, as the quality of cell phone photos gets better and better, we will be seeing a lot more photos of UFO sightings in Kansas City and around the world.

I had just arrived home after stopping at the store. My eyes were immediately drawn upward to a bright yellow light. It was in the same direction that most small planes travel from, but it was a different color, much brighter and about 10 times larger than the small plane lights and much MUCH higher. (large planes come from another direction) It was northwest of my location, about 3-5 miles above the earth. For about 2 minutes, I watched this bright yellow light (slightly increasing in intensity) in a stationary position. It started to slowly move southwest for about 1 minute. As it remained in this path, the yellow began to fade. It then turned to orange and changed (slight curve) to a northeast direction. It changed again to red and finally black. For about a minute, I watched a black oval slowly traveling east northeast and then it disappeared completely. Just vanished. It could have been due to the marine layer. I did not really think it was a plane due to the size and color. I had suspicions that it could have been a comet, but it had no tail. The change of direction made me question this as well. I logged onto the internet to see if there were any comets passing the earth, but one was only 53ft long and the other was millions of miles away. Recalling the Halebop comet, they looked nothing alike. Halebop was stationary while I watched it. It was fuzzy and had a tale. This appeared brighter, clearer and closer. That night was the first time in my 44 years that I actually thought I could have seen a "UFO"

Video of an intriguing covered nest-like structure found abandoned in Arizona is being hailed as a possible home of the legendary Bigfoot.
With a narrow entrance and hollowed inside, the lair is buried half under the ground in the wild woods of the Tonto National Forest on the Mogollon Rim.
Discovered in June of 2010 and featuring on Animal Planet's current 'Finding Bigfoot' series, the footage of the large mysterious den unfortunately offers up little evidence that the fabled giant ape ever dwelt inside.

This unexplained structure in the forests around Arizona is believed by Bigfoot experts in the state to have housed the legendary ape-like creature
Filmed by Arizona researcher and Bigfoot expert Mitch Waite and his wife, Susan Farnsworth, the nest is reputed to be of the big-foot type creature called the Mogollon Monster, who crypto-zoologists believe inhabits the south west of the United States.
Sightings of the creature have been reported for decades by cowboys, drifters and forestry workers and some claim that the creature has attacked and mauled people.
The first reported sightings were in the early 1900s and continue to this day. Apache and Navajo native American people's have told the legend of the 'Big Hairy Man' or 'The Old Man of the Mountain' for hundreds of years.
According to Waite and Farnsworth, the Mogollon Monster has been seen in every corner of Arizona, however most center around the Mogollon Rim.

The monster itself is described at standing seven to ten feet tall, with mostly brown and red hair. The creature is also described as having a strong musky odor.
In addition, reported witnesses have seen the monster engage in rock throwing, howling and chest thumping, all of which are behaviours observed by primate experts.

On a camping trip near to Young, Arizona in 2008, Waite and Farnsworth claim to have had their tent collapsed by a marauding Bigfoot/mogollon monster.
When they returned they found a 19 inch footprint and what looked like an area the creature had used to sleep.
